Recently came for the trunk show that they had invited me too and was so impressed. The staff was great and helpful and I had the best time.

The manager is a really rude guy, he didn’t treat me well, just because I was returning part of my shopping. He seemed to have attitude and was unwilling to help/ return. He didn’t even greet first. He was just staring at me for few second. I’ve never had this issue before with other salesperson in the store; they were respectful and happy to help

First time buying from Talbots. I was styled by associate Johnnie, he showed me several things in my plus size. I didn’t know Talbots carried plus sizes. He was very attentive, considerate and understanding of my style and curves. I would shop here again. I give Johnnie 5stars for all his help.

I've never shopped at Talbots because I'm a size 16 and I've always felt that Talbots more so is for petite-small sized ppl. However I visited this location and was styled and assisted by Johnnie and I had a blast. He understood my style, size and curves. He brought me clothing that fit and was catered to my body type. I would visit this location again, as long as Johnnie was my stylist. My size wasn't available in everything, but I was told it could be ordered. Thank you Johnnie for making me feel so special and I love the outfits you chose for me and I can't wait to wear the cute lil sandals.

This was my first real experience buying from Talbots. It was suggested by a friend. Bought some jeans online, but they didn't fit well. I went in to exchange for a larger size, but the store didn't have them and a store in RI did. The store associate wanted to perform the return on the pants I bought online, then process a sale for the new pair from RI. However, the sale under which I bought the first pair was no longer active, so the sales associate wanted me to pay the new higher price for jeans and another shipping fee, all which made the single pair of jeans more expensive than the 2 pairs I was returning. I thought that was utterly ridiculous and said no, thank you. I'll just take my refund and be on my way. Not sure that I'll ever shop here in-person or online again.

I have been to this location three times now and every single time I have been I have left feeling so disrespected, and degraded. I am 23 and when I go into stores I expect to be treated with the upmost respect and treated like everyone else, regardless of age. At the Chestnut Hill Talbots on the first occasion I was there, no one greeted me, asked me if I need help or anything. Not a big deal or anything to me but thought that was a just a little odd. Then as I was looking around the racks I noticed an employee walk, somewhat in a sneaky manner, around the racks near me, and was staring. It was very obvious that she suspected I was someone ready to steal or something. My mom happened to be in there with me and noticed and mentioned it to me before I even said something. When my mom said my name, the employee looked up with a surprised look on her face, grinned and happily said hello to her and walked away. I took this as she realized who I was with and her suspicions left. The second occasion I was there, no incidents occurred but just noted, no one said hello or acknowledged me. The third time was the worst. I was again not acknowledged or spoken to by any employee. I even walked past a few and still nothing. Then I noticed as I was looking at the sale racks, an employee staring at me from the registers and when I looked towards her, she quickly looked away. As I approached the front of the store again, another customer came in and almost immediately the employees in the area greeted her, asked if she need help with anything and so on. The exact same happened a couple minutes later. All three times that I came in, employees weren't absent of the area, it was very clear all three times a new customer had come in (myself) but I was ignored. Because of my age, I'm subject to be someone suspicious, and therefore should be disrespected? It's so demeaning and disrespectful and I surely will not be returning to their store, which is unfortunate as it's a great location in relation to my home and have purchased from them previously. I hope they realize how they have made someone feel on multiple occasions and work to change their demeanors.
