Called to set up an online account so that I could view statements for my car loan. Provided my social security number over their "secure line" so that they could locate my account. Once my account was located, they could not set up my online account because they needed me to provide my loan number (which they had on hand, by the way). They refused to provide me with my loan number because they said there was so much electronic fraud. How can it be that I provide my social over the phone, but they cannot give me my loan number? The only way to remediate this issue is to visit a branch in person. Is it 1995? STAY AWAY!

"Mav" Rivera is simply phenomenal. If only every business had somebody like him front and center! He is pleasant and professional, kind and courteous, as well as super knowledgeable, and he proactively looks out for his customers' banking well-being with top-notch advice. If only Metro Credit Union had gotten feedback from this young man before rolling out their horrible new voicemail system a while ago! (It's cumbersome and counter-intuitive, impractical, and not user-friendly at all. I give the new voicemail system no stars...)Anyway, Mav is fantastic, and I congratulate MCU for hiring him., an excellent decision.

I have banked w/credit unions for over 40 years. This is the first credit union that has substandard customer support (phone and in person), that is if you can reach someone on the phone. I've made multiple transfers to Metro credit Union from my prior credit union in another state. Most recently, I made a transfer of 5K which was at Metro the following day. My monies have not been made available to me and I've been told multiple stories about when my funds will be available. One person told me 6 day hold. Another told me a 4 day hold. Why hold a money transfer? It's not a check deposit. This is the worst banking experience I've ever had!

I worked with MJ in support and I have to say what an absolute GEM of a person Metro has on their staff.I had two complete separate issues and both were resolved quickly, and seamlessly.I want to personally THANK MJ for all of the help, understanding, and kindness I experiened during the chat encounter.So professional, and so very very helpful. When I try to do an English Janet from metro credit Union. She was helpful to keep my money back from my credit card. And she didn't excellent jokes. You do be John what I spent it to what's doing? Our business works with the main branch in Chelsea and has for many, many years. They have always accommodated our business needs in any way necessary to help our business function smoothly. Manager, Wafaa Lahmeur, is very knowledgeable and always professional. She makes sure that if an issue arises, for any reason, it is handled promptly and correctly. Recently went to main branch at 200 Revere Beach Parkway. I had the cumbersome task of cashing a large number of paper US Savings bonds. The front desk person Diane was extremely helpful and pleasant. She set me up with a fabulous customer service rep named Elijah. The task was not quick and quite labor intensive but Elijah handled it like a real pro. He was courteous, informative and very helpful. He worked with Waafa to redeem my bonds. Elijah and Diane were two great examples of employees providing outstanding customer service. I want to thank both of them for their help.

I would love to give Metro Credit Union 6 stars if I possibly could. I would like to give a special thanks to Steve Johnson from the Lynn Ma branch and also David McMillian from the Chelsea branch, who went above and beyond to assist me with a lying, unprofessional well know insurance company (lizards) that dragged on my claim for 8 long miserable month. Not only did they never answer my calls, email, questions or concerns that I consistently called upon every single day. When the time came to close this claim out in my favor however it came with many headaches they tried to underpay my claim under 10,000$ and tried to ruin my perfect credit score. David the professional and very knowledgeable man of his job saw all these disceprenaies and rectified every issue. He not only got me extra money that I well deserved but he also got Metro the full loan amount I owed and assisted and supported me with the steps of appealing to get back my perfect credit score back. I would highly recommend Metro Credit Union and by all means ask for their assistance with any issues you may have because if it weren't for them I'd be screwed. John Fleury Lynn Ma

How do you speak with a live human being? I am so frustrated with the customer service with this credit union and do not know what to do. Does anybody have any ideas? I need to speak with a representative. All I get is a robot named Chelsea and then some really bad music to listen to.

Recently our online banking was hacked, and money was stolen from our account. Michelle Webb and Elijah Sontz were very helpful in sorting out the mess, and reestablishing our accounts. We met with Elijah at the Revere location, and he spent more than an hour with us, patiently explaining what he and Michelle were doing to help, and detailing our next steps. It almost made the whole incident painless, especially when our money was restored quickly. Thank you, Paul and Rhonda

Had trouble with my account went to Metro Credit Union on The Parkway got the most nicest teller his name is Elijah, I didn't notice a charge on my account (WF) and was in a panic thinking I had fraud on my account. Elijah not only greeted me n my daughter with a smile but he also took the time to check on his end into my account to see what the (WF) charge meant, Elijah also took the time to call the department that did the research to let us both know what (WF) was(Wells Fargo my car payment lol). Elijah n I both learned what it meant n had a laugh, Elijah smiled n had me smiling n was able to fix my account because he let me know I wasdouble charged from WF n now I don't have the late fees that happened on my account due to the double payment that was taken out. Elijah is kind and very professional I hope he's appreciated because he is very good at his job.

I have been a member of Metro for approx 39 years now. I have never left a review but today the service and attention given to me by Branch Supervisor Maverin Rivera, (Mav) compelled me to write one. I was a bit resigned and was thinking of moving my money to another bank but Maverin changed my mind. He was exceptional to say the least in fixing my issue with my bank card and also gave sound advice on the handling of my account. Your lucky to have him as an employee and when he told me he was only 22 I was shocked. He is mature way beyond his years and is truly a credit to your branch and organization. Great job Mav!

Tried 3 times this morning to speak to someone and was put on hold for over 20 minutes each time. Take your business somewhere else, as these folks don't want to talk to you. Unbelievable they would treat customer this way.
