The place doesn’t have the cars clients reserved, and the attendant acts as if it’s the client’s fault. Don’t waste your time coming here if you haven’t received some sort of “confirmation” beforehand.

I did a reservation with they and 1 hour before they call me and said they need to change the car and its going to be more expensive, when I refuse the guy hang up on me! I went to the place bc i really needed a car and they charge me $250 dollars more, saying there’s a deposit and whorever, its absolutely ridiculous you rent some car and when you arrive they dont have the car and THEY HANG UP on clients face!

this place sucks. they got one person working and because of their lack of people they have zero communication. they do as they please. Do NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH NOTHING. not your card or your belongings in their rental, they’ll tow it and charge your account UNAUTHORIZED thousands after months of not having an account open with them.

Despite me having prepaid (and having used it at several other Hertz locations across the country) they would not let me rent with an Apple Card credit card saying it was their policy. In the past, I have provided the titanium card number from the Wallet app and it has never been an issue. This Hertz location told me it is impossible to do that despite me, again, having done it countless other times at other Hertz locations.
They also were “unable” to cancel my reservation and told me to do so online, which had a $100 fee. When I told the employee absolutely not, he gave me a phone number where I sat on hold for over 45 minutes to find out that it’ll take 7-10 days to get my $400 back from prepaying.
Normally I wouldn’t bash a small location for something that would be the larger companies policy, except in this case it is NOT Hertz’s policy and just some made up thing they came up with.
Luckily Enterprise in Nashua was able to fit me in last minute and not ruin my vacation. And they also had no issue with my credit card. Avoid this Hertz if you use Apple Card.

I rented a car for a day about a week ago. The young Lady name shavonne she was very kind, sweet, friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time explaining and made sure that the car was clean and comfortable for me. I highly recommend this company she went above and beyond and service went smoothly.and the rates were very reasonable.

Remarkably clean and efficient rental for a local rental car place. Staff on hand was accessible and friendly and check out and return were surprisingly smooth. A bit cramped for parking but it was workable when I was there. It is more important to me to have a fast, clean interaction. And this place provided it.

Easy experience with Hertz, friendly staff but the car they gave me was so dirty on the outside. Nothing a heavy duty wash and scrub can’t fix. The inside was fine but still could smell a faint hint of cigarettes despite a no smoking sign. Quick and easy return service and not too far from Boston. Plenty of parking for whoever came along to bring me home.

I skipped manager special because I didn’t want to drive an electric car, but they didn’t have the car I reserved when I got there. I sat there and watched clients upgraded their options because no one wanted the electric car. They also asked me to upgrade to a more expensive option. I upgraded once, and second time they did that again. I realized that this is their routine of how they do their business and to make more money off innocent clients.
If you don’t want to waste money riding uber back and forth to their place, I recommend call them ahead to see if they have the car you reserved, or you’ll be getting an electric car or a way more expensive option because they don’t honor your rate with better vehicles.

The manager at this facility is rude unprofessional, and has no customer service skills what so ever. They don't maintenance or wash there vehicles and they send them out on the road with safety issues. The managers name is Shavawhn and I've never received or witnessed such unprofessional behavior in my entire life the facility is filthy and is a complete zoo!! Never rent from hertz Chelmsford you will be very disappointed!!

Worst experience ever, they gave a broken car. only drove car 2 miles. Not only they didn’t help, I had to pay for a towing company to bring back the car.such a poor customer service.

President's Circle StatusOn March 15, 2024, I rented a vehicle from this location. Despite one of the benefits of skipping the counter and heading straight to the car, I waited to be assisted in a congested environment. The crew was willing to put me in an SUV instead of the scheduled car. The SUV had 3/4 of a tank, low tire pressure, and low fluid indicators that lit up. Before returning the vehicle, I made sure to refill the fuel tank to 3/4 capacity, precisely as I had received it. Today, 3/20/2024, the invoice contained a fuel charge. When I contacted them to challenge the charges, the gentleman on the phone stated that because he was not present at the time of the drop-off, he couldn't do anything.

Visited this location 09/12/2023 ….. 10/10 starts for Shevonne, and her team. She is the most joyful, energetic and passionate person! Loved working with her and would definitely visit this location again. Made the Hertz experience amazing.

Lack of communication, waited (during business hours) over one hour outside for someone to show up. Very unprofessional. I Will not use their service again.
