“I’ve walked by this store for years without stopping in because dress shopping is torture for me - I’m short, I’m middle aged lol, I’m a mom who finds it easier and more rewarding to buy clothes for my kids or husband than myself. We saw them in the Fourth of July parade and saw kids modeling dresses so that made me peek in. I didn’t realize there were dresses made of material similar to bathing suits. Totally loved the idea because my girls swim a LOT - so quick drying dresses that feel cool in our Texas heat? Heck yes.
The young women working the store were SO kind. They were friendly, attentive without suffocating, professional and honest. They didn’t blow smoke when I didn’t love a dress on me but when something did fit well, they were great with the feedback. Love supporting local. Great quality, great store, and I didn’t hate dress shopping. Husband wasn’t tortured either so that’s also a huge win. Thanks y’all. Keep up the great work.”

“I am retired, live in Oregon, and was invited to a wedding in Chatham. All of my dressier clothes are long gone, or succumbed to the virus that shrinks clothes while they hang quietly in a closet. I needed a suit. Enter Puritan. Here I am, the definition of a one time customer, yet they treated me like family. Their kindness, humor, and service was beyond amazing. I cannot overstate how impressed I am with Megan and her colleagues. I highly recommend this establishment.”

“The Black Dog is a brand I've loved even before I had a black dog of my own. Primarily a New England thing, I've been to a number of their Massachusetts locations & one as far away as National Harbor in Maryland. The look is pretty casual & sporty. Unfortunately, they don't stock much unless you're short & thin (their largest size is 2X), so I tend to stick with accessories, decorative items, & things for my dog. I hadn't been to Chatham in a while & was surprised & delighted to come across this Main Street location. Bought myself a winter hat & some of their fun, Black Dog branded ginger beer.”

I just want to say a sincere thank you for the exceptionally high bar of customer service reminiscent of “days gone by”, which I experienced at all the stores, but in particular, with the Chatham store. “I cannot say enough good things about Nancy, but I’ll do my best. She saw we were waiting across from her and told us to come over to her register. She apologized to us for the wait even though we weren’t waiting long. She was very friendly and asked us where we were from. We told her we were going to Nantucket and she recommended the bus tour and then proceeded to recommend other places to go while we were there and when we told her what hotel we were staying at, she recommended restaurants nearby! This woman is amazing! Also got a discount for paying cash which I never get by the way. When I checked my two bags at our hotel, I noticed she had separated the things I bought for other people from the ones I bought for myself! Nancy doesn’t miss a thing. A beautiful woman inside and out. We had to go back after our Nantucket trip to tell her what a difference her recommendations meant for our stay. I loved the store, loved the quality of the clothes and she asked us if we would return next year. I hope when we do come to Chatham again, we will see her! We would love to return the favor one day.”
