The lack of hours and daily hour long lunch break make this place difficult to navigate especially if you’re stuck with one of their P.O. Boxes. You can’t even go after hours to get your own mail because the entire building is closed. The staff are really nice which slightly makes up for it.

Right on route 2 in downtown Charlemont. Limited hours, as is the norm with small town Massachusetts post offices. Staff is friendly but the United States Postal Service rates are getting out of control and there's absolutely no accountability. To ship anything more than a simple letter or post card costs an arm and a leg... nothing the Charlemont branch can do to change the shady practices of such a large entity.

We have only good things to say about the Charlemont PO. Everyone is always helpful and goes out of their way to get packages delivered. These people work hard and deserve our appreciation and thanks

Worst Post Office ever. Are you looking for someone who hates their job, who's willing to abuse, neglect, or otherwise make your life miserable? Then you've come to the right place! These people are the type who will spend 30 minutes trying to find a way to avoid 3 minutes worth of work. Their latest attempt, is to refuse to deliver your mail, if you don't offer a full turnaround driveway. I won't miss this service, as the carrier has never bothered to leave a package anyway. I've taken days off from work to wait for packages, just to have a note left in my box that states "delivery was attempted, but nobody was home". This Post Office is the reason that Fedex and UPS are doing so well.
