Long story short my 2008 Chevy Suburban AC wasn't working so i schedule to fix it, in the end they charged me $2200 total... The first time $1000 saying the problem was fixed and ended up 1 month later going back with the same AC problem and with another $1200 bill... Save your time and money, and find a better place.

I have been going here for a while for basic car maintenance. I recently had a mechanic from another shop tell me I needed a bunch of work done next time I get my car serviced. I took it to Steve's and they looked at the car and informed me that basically everything was in good working order and the other person was not being honest. There was one issue that they did find and were able to repair quickly. They are very honest and they do excellent work. The charge a reasonable rate for repairs and they have excellent communication calling me with updates and findings as the work on the car progressed. Any time my car is having issues I will continue to bring my car to Steve's.

Go somewhere else if you can. A bunch of unnecessary back and forth. I got a diagnosis from them and bought my car in. I was called a couple days later asking what’s wrong with my car??? Obviously they would know with my diagnosis in their database. I needed a new battery and I told them what time I would be there to pick up my old one to swap out. They call me when I have arrived saying that my battery is fine and I can pick up my car. Mind you the place is closed so they’re like you can come back tomorrow so I drove there for NO reason. I go there the next day and paid $300+ for me to not even take my car home! He told me my battery was fine and I show up and the car battery is dead and unable to drive. I leave the place without my car. Steve tried to help at least with putting the battery in but then when I try to come he’s not there and the shop offers calls back and DOESN’T CALL BACK. In all this was just all so pointless and I’m taking my car to my usual car shop that I should’ve been did smh I only came here because AAA recommended them as a last minute option… bad choice.

Steve's is excellent. A+++ My favorite mechanic ever. When I leave there I feel like I got a good deal. I don't think I've ever felt that before at any other mechanic that I didn't know personally. I would recommend it to everyone that I know.

Avoid at all costs. Friend's kid went here with their hand me down car for a new inspection sticker. When his mom showed up after being told the vehicle needed repairs that didn't make sense the "mechanic" refused to show the inspection report detailing how and why the vehicle failed. The "mechanic" went on to try and convince her that someone had stolen the catalytic converters from the vehicle and welded straight pipe in its place (this is probably the funniest part of the story, what thoughtful thieves). She questioned everything he claimed to be wrong and the "mechanic" responded by asking her, "What's with the attitude." This place is obviously trying to prey on people with little mechanical knowledge, she took the vehicle to a reputable shop and was immediately told nothing was wrong and given a passing sticker for the vehicle. Will be reporting them to the state for abusing their position and attempting to scam people out of their money.

All around excellent experience. Knowledgeable, professional and excellent service. I took my Forrester there for an exhaust issue and to have it inspected. They explained my options for repair. No surprises when the work was complete. Have happily referred family to them. Refreshing experience.

I go to Steve's because of Tracy. He is an excellent mechanic and especially knowledgeable about Subarus. The used car market is very overpriced. For that reason, when I would ordinarily shop for a "new to me" used car, I made the decision to invest in my old Subaru Forester to hopefully get another 50 to 100,000 miles out of it. I know it is a risk, and it could lead me down a rabbit hole, but there is no guarantee that an overpriced newer car won't need some significant work. Most of the work is not related to failure but wear and tear. It needed a major tune up...there were all kinds of small leaks, radiator had to be replaced. But the car is paid for, basically sound, the insurance is cheap, and it is running great. There is no guarantee that an affordable used car in these times won't need expensive work right off the bat. And that is why if I am going to take this risk, I need a mechanic like Tracy who will do things right the first time. So far, I have been more than satisfied and Tracy has been very responsive to let me stop by any time I sense something needs a little tweaking or adjusting. I know that the best mechanic can't see the future, but I have confidence in the integrity of his work and his respect for the Subaru engine...and that is reassuring.
