“I love Pastene crushed tomatoes. They are the brand you see being used in a lot of Boston restaurants. I moved to Florida a few years ago and could not make decent marinara until they recently started carrying it at Publix, I am so happy! I can finally make delicious sauce again!”
“I previously left a less than stellar review because of delivery issues, and no offer of any credit at all. Zayde's Friday closing time wasn't listed correctly, and the store was closed when Door Dash got there. I had no Shabbat dinner as a result. I ordered dinner today and all is well. Their food is too good to leave behind.”

The store was clean, well stocked and had a good variety of choices. The produce was fresh and the couple of bakery products I picked up were nicely prepared, safely sealed and tasty. The employees I encountered were professional and friendly. There was a broken jar incident while I was there and an employee quickly appeared to set up the area and clean. The prices were similar to anywhere else I've been. Checkout was fairly efficient and the cashier was pleasant. I did cringe a bit as a large can was sent careening into my bread loaf but sometimes things happen and a couple of squished pieces weren't worth creating a spectacle. They tasted fine with a BLT later.”
“I've been going to Crowell's since I was a little boy and the store looked like something out of Vermont. Now a Richdale shop, I find the staff always pleasant and the array of products rather remarkable in its breadth. Richdale now has two check-outs so there's rarely more than a couple of shoppers ahead of you. Very fast place! If you're looking for a true convenience store less than a mile off Rt 128 / I-93, this is your place.I read JOHN SMITH's review. He obviously had some bad experiences at Crowell's. But I just want to assure reader's of two things that are factually incorrect in John's review: Crowell's DOES have a huge liquor dept and, second, the staff are unfailingly FRIENDLY and give good customer service. So, don't be scared away by John's negative review. Go in, experience it yourself. I feel certain you will come away pleased.”
