We had been a client of Dr. Belisle for several years prior to the Covid pandemic, bringing our two cats yearly for their check-ups. However, after not having seen Dr. Belisle for a few years during lockdown, she had completely changed when we brought our cat in last summer. She was unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. Almost immediately into the check-up, she called my cat "feral" and too difficult to deal with. Keep in mind, at this point, my cat had NOT hissed, attempted to scratch her, or anything of that nature. Additionally, my cat is NOT feral or violent. He is a 6 year old domesticated Bengal who has never attacked any person. Pre-Covid, Dr. Belisle had seen this cat in multiple yearly check-ups and never said anything so insulting. Throughout the check-up, she was overly rude and unprofessional, calling my cat feral MULTIPLE times and at the end of the appointment, she had the nerve to say I should never bring him back here. I want to say for the record, my cat NEVER attacked the doctor, hissed, or did anything out of the ordinary for a cat who is scared at the vet. While I am grateful for her help in the years prior to Covid, Dr. Belisle's age has left her bitter and not of sound mind anymore. Please do not bring your cat here if you are looking for a gentle and patient veterinarian.Edit in response to owner's reply: I am disappointed in the owner's response as they did not take any responsibility for the unprofessionalism they exhibited during my cat's appointment. Maybe the doctor didn't write in the record that my cat was not allowed to return, but she verbally said to me word-for-word that I should not bring my cat here ever again. Moreover, given the doctor's expertise, she should know not to call a domesticated cat "feral", especially when the cat did not attack the doctor in any way. Almost all cats are nervous and scared at the vet. It is the veterinarian's job to calm them and make the check-up go as smoothly as possible. I may not have veterinarian expertise, but I can tell when someone is unprofessional and unfriendly.

Dr. B has been very kind and caring with our puppy. My husband is the one to usually take our dog for appointments and he always comes back saying how impressed he is by the level of care our puppy gets.

Good vet but she over charges and cares more about making money than the pets themselves. They didn’t want to work with me to help reduce cost so had to find another vet that didn’t require me to over pay for pet services.

I brought my Lhasa, to CVC, and we met Susan first, who was so nice to my little boy!Dr. Belisle, was not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but very kind and caring to my dog. I'm very pleased that I found a great vet especially, near my home. My little Lhasa actually walks around the clinic wagging his tail. Thank you, CVC!

Both the doctor and assistant have been so helpful to me and the pup with the follow up from emergency surgery. Even had a few laughs over the phone which was so welcome!

We just moved to Canton and appreciate the care and nurturing that Canton Vet Clinic has offered our pets and to us as well. Dr. Belisle takes the time to get to know your pet and it’s not like other clinics where you have a quick 15-min window and your out the door. She takes the time to bond with the pet. Even with COVID our new dog got a few shots and still came back out with her tail wagging. We are excited to be living walking distance from the clinic and look forward to taking our pets there for everything and anything.

I've been a client of Dr. B's for about four decades, and I've sent many fur parents her way when they needed a good vet. We love her and her staff. Over the years, she's kept dozens of our animals (mine, my friends', my family's) healthy, whole, and complete...except for Jake, one of our beautiful Malamutes, who, in his old age, became rather incomplete due to an amputated front leg. Everyone else left this world old, spoiled, healthy, endlessly loved, and with everything they'd had upon entering it - well, not everything; no shotgun weddings for any of them.

my mother used Dr Belisle when she was the mobile vet & then Bob became a patient when he entered Bill & my lives in 1989. we have had quite a number of furbabies in the last 30 yrs & dr Belisle has been their only physician except when she has told us someone had to get to Tufts quickly. she's extremely patient, thorough, & knowledgeable, by staying up-to-date on medical issues. r guys & gals have been neutered, had teeth cleanings, ultrasounds, blood pressure checks, & regular checkups all at her clinic. we've always been very pleased.

I’m floored seeing some reviews! since moving to the area, a family friend recommended Dr. Belisle and she is a great vet. She listens to our concerns about the care of our two cats and educates us on care. We had dental work done on my older girl and she is a new cat! We know that we will continue to go to her practice. All of her staff are wonderful and everyone there genuinely cares about the animals that walk through their threshold.

I am appalled at some of the reviews left on here, especially the one written by an individual that didn't even utilize Dr. Belisle's services. Dr. Belisle just put our beloved puggle, Kona, to sleep this past Tuesday, after about a week's worth of symptoms that likely were the result of brain lesions. Over that week, we visited her office 3x and each time she listened to our concerns and was willing to try things like anti-nausea shots (he was constantly spinning / not eating / getting sick so we had hoped it was “old dog syndromeâ€) despite her knowing it was likely the end (Note: we requested the shots). When it came to that “dreaded dayâ€, she said all the right things (e.g. that we were doing the right thing / how lucky Kona was to have us as his family etc.), gave us time to grieve and gave us a big genuine hug after the procedure to extend her condolences. Yes, her office is nothing fancy, but her care for all creatures is second to none and frankly I care more about that than anything else. I don't envy her job - she has patients that can't tell her what's wrong and patient owners that are very attached and don't want to hear the bad stuff. If we ever get over the loss of our sweet Kona and welcome a new pup into our home, we have every intention of bringing him/her to Dr. Belisle. UPDATE: Not only did I receive a sympathy card from Dr. Belisle immediately after Kona's death, yesterday I received a card from her that had Kona's file picture...I have been missing him so much and was completely brought to tears at how thoughtful/kind this gesture was; the picture is sooo "Kona" -- I am thrilled she took the time to send it to me vs. throw it away...just another example of how Dr. Belisle goes above & beyond. . . THANK YOU!!!!!

I'm researching a vet for my friends sick cat , I'm almost speechless, actually far from it,, I'm a local guide , usually I wouldn't even pick under a 4 star rating, but there was only 1 , YOU! The whole idea is to get average,, so you got 2 1 star ratings, because have to pick one at least, 2 that probably did the same, that's zero stars, average is zero , it will never go up because if in YOUR mind you're a 5 , then you wouldn't even try to listen do any better than now, no compassion at all. You should be doing taxidermy it sounds like.. heartless I'm still shocked!
