So horrible. On the phone with them and they keep putting me on hold, letting it finally go through, only to put me back on hold. I can hear them lifting the phone and putting it down. What horrible service in the pharmacy.

I've come here many times in my 12 years living in Central Square. Pharmacy and pharmacists have always been great, in my experience. For everything else, you're better off going to CVS across the street. Store is always understaffed and usually only one register is open. Not sure why Walgreens has not embraced self-checkout.

The woman works here was following me around the store. Someone asked were something was she said down there. She was rude impolite. I went to cvs instead.

Horrible! Horrible service and lack of employees to meet customers needs. Their pharmacy is simply closed on the weekends. Not sure how a national chain can screw up so badly by not staffing one of the busiest areas of MA. I feel sorry for the employees who work here. Turn over is very high.

Never had I been treated so rudely or badly by any person or establishment until i encountered this place. They hung up on me out of the blue and for no good reason at least 10 times, a few times before I could even say a word. Not sure how they stay in business. I did an online order for cold meds for my kid who is attending college in Massachusetts. My daughter is sick and an item or two I purchased required an I.D. Check but the order arrived so early that she didn't hear them and missed the delivery. I was going to reorder but decided to first check with the store to see whether the order could be re-delivered (for an additional fee) or if it had already been canceled. And this is where my ordeal with the employees in this store began. After a significant wait on the phone, a heavily accented woman answered and I told her I had placed an online order. She immediately told me 'we dont do online order, come pickup". And then she hung up on me. I called back and after another extensive wait got the same person and she said pick it up, to which I said I cant because I'm in California. She immediately hung up on me again.I called back several more times and when I asked for a manager or to speak to someone else, she hung up on me right away.I called back again and thankfully, a young man answered who spoke English. I told him that I wanted to know the status of my order and to speak to a manager and after a little wait, he got someone else to assist me. Another lady with an accent, not as strong as the first lady's, asked for the information and went to check. She came back and I could hear her tell the young man that she didn't see the order. I asked him if I could speak to her again because I wanted to tell her about the woman who had hung on me so many times. He said, why don't you call back in 30 minutes. I paused to get ready to ask her name and the young man hung up on me.I called back and the young man answered and I asked him why he had hung up on me. He said, because I told you to call back in 30 minutes. I asked for the manager's name and he said Joann. Another lady, without an accent, got on the phone and I asked if she was Joann and she said that Joanne doesn't work on Saturdays or Sundays so call back during the week. I said never mind, I will just do a review or call corporate.I placed another online order and it said it would be delivered by 4pm, which was 1.5 hours away. I texted my daughter and she was going to be on the lookout. When 4pm came and went, I googled and found how to check the status online. It said CANCELLED. I called my daughter and asked if she had received a cancellation notice. She said no, she had just received a notice that they were working on the order and would email with any updates, changes or notifications. She had received nothing else. Very shady.I called the store and after considerable wait again, got the young man. He told me the order was canceled because maybe they didn't have it. I asked if he could tell me was what was unavailable because the site showed what stuff was in stock and so I could choose something else. He said, "We cant do that". Do what? I asked do what? He hung up on me. When you order online, you can tell the system to substitute for same brand different amount, or similar item. I enabled all of the substitutions. The online system also said that there could be changes in the final amount if items were unavailable or substitutions were made. This store, however, canceled the entire order, probably out of incompetence or maybe just plain spite. No compassion there for a sick kid far from home with no transportation who just needed some medicine.I found another place to do what this Walgreens couldn't, or wouldn't do. Not only that, but despite that I was never rude to them, they canceled my daughter's order for meds for some unknown reason. I have never dealt with such incompetent and rude people before. Turns out this Walgreen's does not participate in the FedEx QR code shipping label program (where you bring a package to return to a participating online retailer, scan a QR code and they print out a Fedex label to ship it with), though they are listed on the Fedex site as participating. The staff at this store said "it is too much of a hassle to print out shipping labels".

I had a major medical surgery and needed this one item to get through one last part of healing. I called multiple stores which didn't help me at all. Finally through much literal pain this store had it in stock. They held it for the person that was coming to get it, seeing as I couldn't walk. I literally almost cried and this is after days in the hospital and surgery. Very pleased with this store.

Today on March 4,. 2020 I had an Awesome 5 Star Experience here. I wanted to get pictures developed from my Android phone and the nice young man who helped me walked me through the whole process twice because I wasn't paying attention and jiggled the connection on the plug to the photo machine. So he helped me twice and was nice about it too. He probably had a million other things to do but he was very patient with me. Really a nice person. Walgreens you have great people at this location. . Not every Walgreens is great but this Walgreens is.Really come here to shop.

I would give this place 0 stars. Consistently messing up my prescriptions and refilling the ones I never asked to be refilled Then giving me the wrong version of a medication. Calls me saying my script is ready to be picked up, then when I show up nothing is ready! I plan on reporting this pharmacy for severe neglect. Beware.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They won't call you as promised when your prescription is filled. If you need a prescription transferred, you have to remind them several times. They can also be rude if you have an out of state insurance, which is pretty likely considering the high student population here.

I have to update my previous review. While almost all employees and managers are very courteous, kind and helpful, there is one clerk who has begun following me around the store with a snarl on her face. She has been employed at Walgreens a long time. I will no longer shop at this Walgreens.
