Did someone review bomb this location? I've had excellent experiences at Santander - especially with Despina (spelling), who has been assisting me for years.I am perhaps the most picky, intolerant consumer you've ever met. I have high standards for the service I receive, as you can see from the slew of one-star reviews I hand out with great pleasure to any corporation who slights me.Santander has given me amazing service for more than a decade. You won't be disappointed with their customer service, either.And by Golly, is it better than Capital One and Chase customer service. Thank you again.

Worst bank ever. I had to block my card due to suspicious activities and my new card hasn’t arrived yet. I tried to withdraw a mere $100.00 from my account at the teller ( with my drivers license, another bank card and my phone with the app installed on it. Long story short. Couldn’t get my number because I did not use my social security number to open my account, so they “couldn’t verify my ID” say whaaaaaat?I’m closing my account as soon as my card arrives and will not even pass on the side walk .

Poor customer service. Best to use any other bank in the area. TD Bank is right across the street or Citizens bank just te blocks up the street where you will be given much better attention and care.

I am a long-time Cambridge resident and came here to open an account recently. The staff was very helpful and neighborly to me. But the branch manager was extremely rude and acted more like a cop than a business owner looking to grow the business and develop relationships with customers. I am planning to leave Santander because she was so rude to me last time I came in. It is shocking that Santander tolerates such rudeness at a time when the banking industry is in crisis. It's almost like they don't want the business.

I was treated so poorly by the young man who attended to me this afternoon, there was no greeting or how can I help you , after doing my banking he just looked at me without knowing if he was done. I ask him if I was alset and he nodded his heard to say yes.

I have being going to this bank for 3 months now . 1st time I went there , a young woman named AYa , treated me so kind and courteous, but for me this is nothing new with Santander Bank , I have lived in USA for 28 years , I have done banking with with , all New England banking entities, no one bank can compare to Santander Bank , I have always always being treated with respect , genuine good customer service , mind you I am not rich , every time I step into this branch I am greeted with love , one day , I run out of quarters for the meter and She gave me a couple of quarters from her purse , who do that ? Another day I went there to do business , and my 3 year old daughter was bored so she started acting up and the manager came out of her office and started playing and entertaining her , I found out she was the manager of the branch later on , who does that ? Talk about humility , I opened a non profit business account there , even though I was referred by my partners to do it someplace which don’t charge the $15 dollars monthly fee , I said no , Santander cares , other banks you are just a number , all I must do to avoid the $15 dollars is , use my card 3 times a month , I will use my card at least 7 times a month , so fee , fixed !! Mr. Ankiel stayed after business hours to complete my transaction that day , even though he had his family waiting for him at home , thank you for helping me to help others, when I open my restaurant I am bringing food to you all , on me , thanks ? and blessings for your care ??

Frequently both ATM machine out of order. When they load money at ATM machine they should load one at a time. ATM room's door also frequently doesn't open at evening and night time. In one year- three times I had to use other Bank's ATM. End up paying close to $18fees.

First of all I was never informed that a $10 monthly fee would be applied. Secondly it was a really lengthy process to close the account. The person who handled closing would not give me a check, and I had to again wait in line again for the teller. Unfortunately they don’t seem to communicate with each other although I was told it should be “all set”. The teller seemed confused when I told him that I needed a check since I just closed the account. He told me to talk to others to close the account first.... disorganized and little communication

I don't even know where to start in explaining how bad my experience has been with this bank. A bunch a hustlers at this Central Square branch but Santander as a whole has antiquated systems for a bank in these days. Hopefully they will be swallowed by a real financial institution soon. I'm ending my association with them as soon as they open tomorrow.

Beware: they upsold me at this branch on thier credit card. Unlike most credit cards where you don't accrue interest if you pay your statement off in full: thier credit cards began charging interest as soon as the statement closes! Ie you can't pay your statement on due date, you have to pay on statement 25 days EARLIER on the statement closing day. That means if you get paper statements, you have to pay before receiving the statement. This also means you cannot use autopay--autopay pays on due date, by due date you've already accumulated interest.

My experience with Santander has been that the bank has really cleaned up its act. The waiting time, treatment of customers, etc seems to be a lot better and from what I can tell the company has addressed past negative issues, so I'll rate them better now.

Horrible costumer service!! Went in today and the man inside just totally didnt want to help me with THEIR atm. He was to full of himself and ignorant. Been a customer for 10years and never felt so disrespected. NEVER going there again!! Good job santander of Cambridge.
