Had a very good experience with this place. I sent a dress to be altered and they did it perfectly. They didn't have the dress on the original date I was supposed to pick it up but they delivered it to my house first thing in the morning the next day, free of charge of course. Responsive customer service and I can tell they care about their customers.Service: Alterations

I rarely write reviews but I am so frustrated by the service I've received at Royal Cleaners that this felt necessary. They ruined 3 $100 shirts with sloppy tailoring and were unable to fix their mistake after 3 repeat visits. I have sunk too much time and money into these shirts that I'm just considering them ruined and donating them. Absolutely would not recommend to others and I will not return to this business.

Updated review: Because their website, google, and yelp hours were posted wrong, I showed up 30 minutes after their "new" closing time the day of my event and was unable to wear my hand tailored Tuxedo and custom dress shirt, and had to spend $220 on a terrible rental. However, after I discussed with them, they were understanding and we reached an agreement that I felt was fair. Including me helping them update their hours online. Their dry cleaning work is excellent though. It would be five stars if not for this incident.

Unfortunately I had a very negative experience with Royal Cleaners. I brought in a jacket for dry cleaning and a repair of a small tear. Instead of taking 1 week, I had to wait more than a month to get the jacket back. After four weeks and three visits, I received a text message saying that they had accidentally broken my jacket. When first bringing in the jacket I had told the lady that it was an old jacket that was very dear to me as it belonged to my late father. Unfortunately the jacket appears to be beyond repair now. When I went back for the fourth time to pick up the jacket today, the man at the store made me wait and served other customers before me until he finally handed me my broken jacket. I won't go back and hope this review will get the owners to reconsider their practices.

Best laundry and alterations service ever. I was running tight on time in order to grab the shuttle back to my university which was leaving at 4:18. My pants would not be ready till 4:30 however the owners did the inpossible to go personally drop my pants near the bus stop. Needles to say I met them 4 minutes before having to leave and was able to catch my bus in time. THANK YOu VERY MUCH I RECOMEND THIS LAUNDRY PLACE TO ANYONE. ITS CHEAP AND FAST.

Good cleaning but terribly unreliable hours, have gone multiple times and they were closed with handwritten note on door. Apparently are now closed after 4 on Saturdays according to note on door.

They tore a big gash in a custom shirt that cost $160 while laundering it, then sewed a big, obvious stitch across it and tried to give it back to me. The person operating the register when I came in didn't seem to know what to do and made no efforts to fix the situation. Eventually she took my number and said the manager would call, which never happened. I've switched to another place. Would still like my shirt back. (Also, before that, they'd duplicated my account because someone else had the same last four digits in their phone number. It was a huge mess and it seemed like this was the first time this had happened to them. It took probably half an hour of my time to get that straightened out.)

This place is so wonderful. The service is always kind and prompt. They're completely up front with how much something costs to be dry cleaned. AND they have a great customer system (your # is your phone number) so handing off and picking up is a cinch. Whenever I've dropped anything off to be cleaned they take a look at it for stains, the material, etc., to make sure anything they need to communicate to you is done for right at drop off. It usually takes around 4 days. Prices are immensely reasonable for Harvard Square.
