frankly, this sorry excuse for a local branch should actually get zero stars. in the pre-covid era, this branch was everything a local branch should be: friendly, reliable, and eager to help people, especially when they experienced difficulty with the website or needed assistance in an emergency situation, such as a lost card or stolen checkbook. as a school teacher, i usually go to the branch during saturday mornings, since regular hours are not convenient. when i went there this am, i was greeted by a completely dismissive receptionist who couldn't wait to tell me why he couldn't help me, claiming that "i needed to do everything i wanted on line" and that no one could be helped unless they had an advance appointment. when i finally spoke to a manager, i was met with yelling, rudeness, and yet more attitude. what a way to treat a customer who has been with this once excellent institution his entire adult life! disgraceful. john c. garrels
