Mayflower does not sell fresh killed chickens. Their chickens come from a supplier in Delaware. Not even local to Cambridge! This is a case of false representation. We bought a chicken and it was good but nothing special compared with what you might find in a supermarket. It was missing a wing. We won’t bother going there again.

Their chickens are not fresh killed. They're from a supplier in Delaware. Not even a local small farm. Once upon a time you could find live chickens at Mayflower but no longer. We bought a chicken which was good but nothing special and not much different from an industrial bird from a supermarket.

Fantastic chicken at great prices. Also have fresh eggs. The place is spotless with out any bad odors like most butcheries. The staff is always efficient and courteous. I can't go back to grocery store chicken.

Live Poultry, Fresh Killed!! Well, sadly that's no longer possible however they have the best chicken period!This is the place where to ask if you're seeking all sorts of poultry, phasan, capon ducks. They also have pork, beef, rabbit, goat.If you're a true meat lover, you can find interesting cuts such as tripe.The butchers are always very kind and helpful. The perfect neighborhood spot!!Furthermore, they prepare food for cats and dogs too (raw diet). I do buy food for my cat there, but I usually cook it.

I reserved a turkey here for Thanksgiving a week before the date - probably just under the wire. These dudes were so helpful and nice, and even went above and beyond to bring the turkey out to my car so I could maintain my covid protocol. A+++ will definitely come here for future poultry requirements!

This place is the best!!! Staff are incredibly nice and helpful. They always have great product. If you need something not in the display case, they always go beyond to help you out.

Mayflower is the best! The prices are wonderful, they take specialty orders, you can get a number of exotic meats and inventory - Louis always takes good care of me when I call and make a special request - I believe they also stock the chickens from Amish country so they're pretty good!

Louis always takes care of me! Mayflower is a great neighborhood institution. Great prices, fresh meats, knowledgeable and friendly staff - they just don't make places like this anymore. Also a nice selection of other fowl to boot.
