I've been a Diamond Member for Hilton and Platinum Premiere for Marriott during my 15 year career traveling throughout the US. The staff at the Hyatt Regency from the front desk to the security guards were some of the most friendly I have ever encountered. I usually do not write reviews but the service and experience that Maurielle gave each morning while I picked up my morning coffee was fantastic. It started out with a simple name for my order Jason, she asked with a Y or no Y. We laughed and I said surprise me. The next morning she remembered me and said No Y. Haha. Very friendly people and great place to stay in Boston. I would highly recommend.

room is a bit old, winter belcony doesnt have outdoor furniture. But the location is perfect. The staff are really helpful nd friendly as well!Safety: Feel safe at nightWalkability: Close to MiT and Harvard, easy access to back Bay Area

Had a $20 destination fee at checkout. Left a very poor taste in my mouth! Staff were very nice.

Rooms are nice and updated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a restaurant and cafe in the hotel which is a great convenience. The hotel is located in a very central place with easy access to nearby tourist locations or businesses depending on your trip.

Lovely location and easy access to Harvard square and other places near by ,rooms were clean and tidy and spacious and the outside view was awesome. Evening dine in at the restaurant facing the river view was excellent. Enjoyed the stay.Highly recommend this place.

Beds are comfortable and room is spacious . The bathroom was a bit small but showerhead was strong .Food & drinks: The restaurant and service in the hotel were horrible !!

Excellent service - was able to handle a fairly early checkin with no complaint, held bahs on the day I checked out, and was friendly for the 3 days I was here.There's a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a bar inside. All are priced where you'd expect hotel options to be but the food is tastyRooms were clean and quiet and room service was great.There's no on site laundry (you can drop off in the morning and get it back another day) but there's a laundromat in walking distance. MIT is a pleasant walk away, as is Back Bay.Rooms: Rooms were clean and quiet and room service was greatNearby activities: MIT is a pleasant walk away, as is Back Bay.Safety: The area is perfectly safe with no issues around.Walkability: Most things are 1-2mi away but it's flat and not bad at all.Food & drinks: There's a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a bar inside. The people are phenomenal!!!!! I spent 5 weeks back and forth to this hotel and everyone is really friendly. Special shoutout ms to Zack and Nick for taking care of me when I needed a little extra help.

Attended company holiday party & passed apps were delicious & hot. Servers did a good job everywhere, but food stations in ballroom could have been better for 200-250 we had. Most cooked food was not served hot & salad bar set up backwards. Bartenders in ballroom were pleasant & desserts were tasty, but wish they'd been put in ballroom instead of in original hallway near coat room.

Front desk staff young guy who checked me in. Was very shot with conversation; not very friendly seems likely. When I asked questions about the amenities; didn’t seem too keen to conversationsOver all very nice hotel balcony view

Be aware, this hotel charges a "destination fee" per day in the amount of 20 dollars plus tax. I was not personally informed of this fee either at check in or time of booking. In addition, when I booked I was charged for "Taxes/Fees" however this was apparently not included. Hotel refuses to work with me on a refund, and am currently still working with them to find a solution.Editing in response to the owner:That's all fine and well, my issue is that at no time during booking, or at check in were these amenities explained to me. You concierge has stopped responding to my emails to resolve this matter. These fees are predatory and a scam. No one books a hotel with the expectation of guest bikes, and onsite notary. You need to do better, and can start by refunding me this fee. Until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere and suggest others consider the same.
