I go here for fascia stretch with Bethany. She is always friendly and professional. She has really helped me with my calves, hips, and feet following an injury. She has excellent skills and a pleasant demeanor.

I ordered the Nike MaxFly spikes from Heartbreak Hill for my son when Nike was completely out of stock and other online running stores had sketchy online reviews. The customer service is top-notch - even though I placed the order late at night on Cyber Monday, the spikes arrived by Wednesday evening!! He got exactly what he wanted when we thought we wouldn't be able to find these anywhere in his size/desired color. We are so happy with the purchase. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future needs. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

The Heartbreak Hill Running Company store in Cambridge is an exceptional store with amazing staff. My wife and I stepped in not knowing too much about shoes and stepped out with 2 pairs of shoes and lots of new knowledge.Gabe, a staffer there, was extraordinarily knowledgeable about all things running and shoes. He even took a slow-mo recording of us running in flat trainers to ascertain our gait. They have all the newest shoes and the most friendly shoe staff we could have hoped for. They made us feel comfortable trying on an assortment of shoes until we could find one that fit just right. If you’re in the market for new shoes absolutely check out Heartbreak Hill. Ask for Gabe! He was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend!Great store for marathon runners, casual runners, sprinters, track and field, individuals needing more support, and anyone who wears shoes and likes to walk, run or simply stands and wants something comfortable. They have a bathroom/restroom and a changing room.

I was pretty surprised by how rude the staff were. We tried asking for help and they seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. It felt to me like they were discriminatory based on the way we look. A shame because we were really looking forward to buying some shoes today.

Running has been, for better or worse, the exercise that I've consistently kept at over the years. When I started, I naively assumed it was one of the cheaper sports to dabble in - "all you need is a pair of sneakers and some sweats", right? Oh ho, how wrong I was. All that's to say, I'd gladly spend my bucks at Heartbreak Hill. I've been running consistently in Nikes without any issue, until I ordered the Pegasus 38 off a Black Friday sale, popped them on one morning for a few miles, and promptly got a stabbing pain at the edge of my right foot that refused to subside and hurt to even walk on. I looked up all the possible causes (plantar fasciitis, peroneal tendonitis) and resigned myself to a few days of rest and foam rolling, all the while glaring at the offending shoes tossed in the corner. Once I was finally able to hobble around outside, I checked out HH. I told the employees that I was looking for a softer shoe that could help with over-pronating and withstand daily training. The guy (think his name was Hiro) brought out three different pairs and patiently offered suggestions as he watched me walk and jog around. Finally, I went with the Brooks Glycerin GTS 20, along with some inserts (which may have been a bit of an upsell but oh well), and ... holy crap, my foot felt so much better in 2-3 days. They also host biweekly runs, including some sort of speed class with a coach that sounded cool. Parking: some spots right out front on Commonwealth.**UPDATE (that no one asked for): After a few runs in the Brooks, I can safely say they're better suited to your regular shuffle/recovery run, not so great if you want to do tempo/fartlek/race in them.

Always have what I need when I go in. In an easy place to reach in Cambridge over near Central. Parking outside on the street is always available if needed. Staff is always helpful, and full of answers for any easy or technical questions you may have. They do host runs from time to time as well. Free stickers at the register.

I went there with my husband to find pair of running shoes for him. The service we received is incredible. The staff is very kind, patient and knowledgeable. He provided the very useful info based on our questions and recommended some good models with good value, instead of most fancy or expensive ones. And my husband was even allowed to try them out by a quick outdoor run. In conclusion, we are very happy with our purchase experience there and definitely will recommend it to anyone else.

I walked in to ask about whether or not trail running shoes were required for a trail marathon marketed as friendly for beginners while on a walk, and I was so pleased to find that 1) the staff member was incredibly knowledgeable and 2) he answered that no, they probably weren’t necessary, but explained what their options were and the pros/cons of each without pressuring me to buy anything.
