Harvard Book Store is a unique and special place for readers—a locally owned, independently run Cambridge landmark since 1932. This historic bookstore is well known for its award-winning author event series; an extraordinary selection of thoughtfully curated titles; and great bargains waiting to be discovered in the beloved Used Book and Remainders basement. The store is praised for its amazing selection across all departments, from mainstream to obscure titles, catering to every kind of reader. Customers particularly enjoy the non-fiction, children's books, and the used book section in the basement, which is described as having a great vibe. The knowledgeable and helpful staff are also highly appreciated. While the store can get crowded during the school season, it is overall considered a Cambridge institution and a favorite place to visit for many. Visitors highlight the reasonable prices, diverse offerings, and the overall charm of this independent bookshop.
A complete and very elegant bookstore, very Harvard-style.It's worth coming to buy a book, a souvenir or just to get to know it.
