They seem to have shorter hours and less access to 24hr customer service. They are not open on Saturday morning and close at 4pm during the week.

I recently opened up a checking and savings account with Eastern Bank in Harvard Sq. in Cambridge as well as applied/received a home equity line of credit. All I can say was that the process was super smooth. Jose and the team at the branch were friendly, transparent and very informative all along the process. In fact, the experience has helped me shift my banking services from one of the biggest in the country to Eastern. Give them -- and this branch -- a shot.
