I DO NOT trust this place with my kids... and neither should you. Management treats their employees unfairly and discriminates against whoever they choose. They do not know how to properly mange their staff to the point where some of the employees may act inappropriately towards the children. I was debating on sending my kid here since I'm new to the area but after I picked up my cousin from this day care they told me that their teacher David told everyone to call him Dad... I was deeply disturbed after this and willlet my family know to take their child out of there immediately

I use Bright Horizons at University Park for back-up care (employer provided) and drop-in care (I pay out of pocket). I love the place, the people, and how happy my son is here. Miss Olivia is an amazing teacher, and it was very easy for my son to warm up to her. Will keep bringing my son here for as long as they will have me!

We have sent both of our kids here. One from 18 months - 3 years and we just started sending our 3 month old. It’s great!

We have had my son at Bright Horizons since he was 8 months old, and he is now 2 years old. We started with BH in the peak of the pandemic, prior to vaccines — we were desperate for childcare at that point, so we took the jump after getting several other options. We could not be happier with our experience here. COVID protocols have been very helpful throughout, and the cases at the center have been very minimal. The teachers are all so caring and loving, and our son loves all of them. There has been some turnover of teachers during our time, but also some consistency. The curriculum is a great one and our son absolutely loves his time there — runs in each morning and doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day. It’s pricey, but would highly recommend!

My daughter attended the infant class and there was a general apathy toward individualized attention. We often found that the teachers did not engage the older children that were walking and crawling (9-15 months) and those kids would crawl over or sometime hurt the little infants (4weeks-7months). The center just seems to be in the business of making sure the kids were fed and weren't winding up in the emergency room. I definitely have experience better care and would not recommend this location for those that can afford Bright Horizons premium pricing for daycare in Cambridge and Boston area

I am convinced that businesses that are in a difficult environment have to compete even harder. Bright Horizons at University Park is the perfect example. When we were looking for a day care for our daughter we visited many centers. It was obvious that some other centers might get business because they were in a convenient location (Whitehead Institute at Bright Horizons on Roger Street and Bright Horizons at one Kendall) while this center is at Central. We were not impressed with these centers. The director at the Whitehead Institute laughed at us when we told her our starting date while the director at One Kendall never called is back. I would not be frustrated with her if I hadn't called 5 times and be told each time that she would call back. She never called back. We visited the center in person and were told again that she would call us. One teacher from the center gave her a post it with our name and phone number. She never called back. We were really fed up with these unprofessional behaviors so we were really relieved when we visited Bright Horizons at University Park. Our daughter went to this center for 3 months. We then had to move out of state. She was always full of smiles when we picked her up and developed a strong bond with her teachers (she was very close with Ms. Tracy. She was also very comfortable with Ms. Jill, Ms Kathleen, Ms. Bernadette and Ms. Becca). Daycares in Boston are expensive ($3,200/month) but this one was particularly well managed. I sometimes saw the admin team in classrooms and we had easy relationships with them (meaning they pick up the phone and answer emails). Daycares in the state of Massachusetts are very regulated (No shoes in the infant classroom, 1 teacher for 4 children, 2 teachers for 7 children). We were happy with these regulations. I wished that the shoes rule would be enforced in other states. It does not make sense to have crawling babies and adults who wear shoes in the same room. We were both disappointed to leave as it was an awesome center and knew that we would not be able to afford it for several months.

My daughter started at this center when she was 6 months old and is now part of the preschool program. The infant team was amazing. Being a first time mom I felt nervous and guilty leaving my baby. During out transition into care everyone at the center was so responsive and understanding. By the end of the first week I felt so at ease and there was no question that my little one was getting the best quality care. Around 14 months we began our toddler transition. The toddler group is a little bigger than the infant group. They have 9 children in each room. But again I found the teachers to be very responsive and understanding. Again I was nervous about the transition but just as when we were in infant, the center director was available to discuss the transition, answer my questions and offer advice and suggestions. I again had the opportunity to meet with the toddler teachers before we started. After we were in the room for a few weeks we found out that our child's teacher was moving out of state. We were so sad to see her go but the group did a great job of welcoming the new teacher and we quickly felt connected to her. The change in my little girl in the toddler program was amazing. She became a little person who wanted to do everything for herself and the teachers were amazing about supporting that as well as exposing her to the early academic pieces. My husband and I often look at each other and say "did you teach her that?" We are now in preschool and can say that our experience had been great from day one. This is a great place to leave your child

My son attended both the infant and toddler program for 18 months. I agreethatthe infant program is very good teacher to infant ratio is 3:1 and strongly adhered to. The toddler program,is notably not as good, my son loved his teachers, but there was a general lack of attention to detail. The sheets were not always completed or followed. The two teachers were constantly strapped for time and at lunch time it was just chaotic. I also think the cost of this daycare is absurd, location was key factor for my selection of daycare but I paid for it. The staff has a high turnover, which creates a lot of inconsistency for both teachers and toddlers. also, it was my impression that the teachers were not always happy and were not treated as wellie even compensated as they should have been. In general, after giving my 30 day notice, I was reallysurised that the assoc Director did not eve ask why we were leaving. I found this whole situation so unfortunate, and was very disappointed with the responses I got fro the site director and assoc director. I wil Say that my son enjoyedlaying with others and developmentally thrived as a infant and toddler which was expected, so they do have a decent curriculum. Overall, I felt for such a global, corporate daycare I was not getting what I paid for, it was why I the chose to have my son enter another center, not corporate and family run and. Not to mention$500 cheaper / a month and much more flexible with times. I won't write this place off,but I would suggest parents to enquire and compare in their options. More money does not equal high quality, and at BH it's big corporate daycare for big bucks.

Our 9-month-old has been going here since she the age of 3 months, and they do a wonderful job with her. She has a great time playing with all of their toys and games (we sometimes buy duplicates for her to use at home, she enjoys them so much), and we can see clearly that they love her and she loves them! Also, the daily written reports are useful-- it's really helped us to establish a schedule for her naps and meals, and it's nice to see what activities she did during the day, like walks, art projects, or playing with jello. So far she's still in the infant room, but the toddler rooms look like they'll be a ton of fun once she makes the move in a few months! Basically, this is a great daycare. I feel completely comfortable leaving my baby there every day, and I would recommend it to anyone.
