Very happy with this gym. Centrally located near lots of employers. I was in town for work, didn't want to just stop my training, and BodyScapes fit the bill, providing week and month passes = perfect. All the equipment you need, dumbbells up to 80 lbs, locker rooms, showers, and classes and other things I didn't need.

I came to BodyScapes for a spin class through ClassPass. The actual spin class was a lot of fun and everyone there was really friendly. It was definitely pretty different from the spin studios in the area, which are dark and play loud music. This felt a little less professional and a lot more welcoming.I was impressed by the size of the gym, but it seemed like the space was a bit under-utilized. If you're looking for lots of space to lift and stretch, this is a great place. I was excited to see a sauna in the locker room, but it didn't actually seem to work. There weren't many people at the gym, even though it was a Saturday morning in early January. I'm guessing they get more of a weekday crowd, with people who work in Kendall Square. Next time, I'd like to check out the rest of the gym some more.

Front desk staff are amazingly nice and helpful and the gym is pretty well equipped. When I visited only 1 shower was working properly in the women's locker room but the one that did was decent.

This review serves as a warning to NOT ENROLL as a member of BodyScapes Fitness. There are dozens of other gym options in Boston from which to choose: ones where the price is more proportional to the quality of facilities, and ones where you are treated with respect. Honestly, I really enjoyed BodyScapes for one year. I was able to continue working out during COVID, and I felt that I became very friendly with the staff. However, once my living situation changed, I needed to terminate my membership. This is when I learned that once you no longer represent a source of revenue for them, they proceed to treat you with the lowest quality of customer service as they try to swindle you for as money additional months as they can. In my case, because they do not let you terminate a membership online, I went in-person. I signed the termination documentation and the staff member said he would upload my documentation and finalize the termination. He did not offer me any copy of the document, but I thought this had been taken care of. When I did not get billed the next month, I felt I had confirmation that my membership termination was successful. However, the subsequent month, I got a charge from BodyScapes. Naturally, I requested a refund, as my account had been terminated. The subsequent emails and phone call were the absolute worst customer service, and frankly, most disrespectful communication, that I have had with any business. The Director of Operations (Mike Walsh) and GM (Dancy Rivera) began to gaslight me over email and the phone, saying that they never received my termination contract (remember: this was done in-person, with a direct hand-off to their staff) and would continue to repeat that I did not have proof of the termination so they could not refund me (remember: they NEVER offered any copy of the termination paperwork). They refused to review the video footage of me signing this contract. They have since stopped responding, and will not refund me after scamming me for an additional month. My partner subsequently decided to terminate her membership, as she was disgusted with this treatment. (Again, we though that we were friendly with these staff). When she went to terminate her contract, Dancy no longer greeted her with a big smile; instead, she treated her as less than human, just another dollar bill. Then, she was told that she has to pay an additional month AFTER the month during which she terminated her membership. BEWARE of this shady termination policy in the fine print of the contract. The facilities at BodyScapes are simply not worth the steep cost, nor the terrible customer service. You are only valued when you are a paying customer; after that, you are kicked to the curb. I will certainly not be re-enrolling when I move back to the area. I highly suggest that you look at other gyms as well. You deserve better.

I joined BodyScapes for a brief period while working/staying in Cambridge. Dancy, the manager, was extremely helpful in finding me a short term package that would suit me. Gymgoing during the COVID precautions are not ideal, but it was easy to schedule my workout slot via their app and the gym has literally been spotless. I would recommend locals and/or anyone staying nearby for work, to check out BodyScapes!

The facility is good, however if you are trying to cancel membership, it is tricky. They don’t provide the ability to cancel membership through their online portal. They don’t have an e-mail you can contact them through. The only way to contact them is through the contact form on their website. However, after submission there isn’t an automated acknowledgement that it has been submitted. So, in my case they claimed they didn’t receive my form. When I asked them for written confirmation that they did not receive my request to cancel, they ignored and they did not reply to it.

I love this gym. The staff and trainers are all very welcoming and knowledgeable and you'll always see them with a smile on their face. The facility has a wide range of equipment and a great deal of space. This gym always feels like a second home for me so I always feel comfortable working out there. Can't see myself workout out at any other gym.

Decent Gym, lacking some key workout equipments. I visited and was thinking to sign up but I didn’t feel welcomed. No one greeted me when I got to the desk, there were a few people standing cracking jokes. I had to ask for help, It was as if they didn’t need my business. Front desk associate never smiled, so yeah, a little awkward

The equipment are decent but the customer service is TERRIBLE. While some people in the front desk are very friendly some are extremely rude. The assistant manager yelled at one customer in front of the whole gym because he was talking on the phone although he was on the side and not occupying any machine. I had a minor issue with my membership and was pulled from my workout and asked to leave until the issue is resolved. I came back the following day to get it fixed and no apology was made what so ever for the rude behavior. Also, one trainer often occupies two machines for prolonged periods with no considerations to other paying gym members. When I asked if I can use either one of the machines I was told to come back in 10 to 15 minutes! She occupies gym equipment for training others or personal use more than any other paying member I have seen. For the premium price we pay, customer service should be way better.

Terrible. They have a no guest policy, so when my fiance visits (~ 1 day per month) they don't allow her to come to the gym with me, despite having her liability forms on file. Terrible policy, not consistently enforced. Cancelled my membership, despite living the building.

I'm being 100% honest when I say that I lost 10lbs since I started coming here. Not only is it delightfully a 3 minute walk from the T, but the facilities are perfect for getting the exercise that you need. The front staff always has a smile on their face and keeps the place super clean and organized. Not only are the classes SO GOOD with Marina, but she really individually tries to help her class. Another very useful thing about this gym is the fact that a physical therapy and massage therapy are users in the same area so after my accident, I was able to go to PT and then immediately stick 20 minutes on the elliptical in right after. I am so thankful for this gym!!!!!!

I've been a member for 2 years and was welcomed to the BodyScapes family immediately! The staff is so so nice and personable which makes me *want* to go work out. Facilities are always clean and a great mix of machinery and classes!! Shout out to Dancy who just simply makes my day!!

This gym is pretty awful and not worth the money. I'd highly recommend several other places before here. I only went because we had a corporate discount, but immediately switched the first chance I got.
