I am writing to formally register a complaint about the highly unprofessional and distressing service I experienced at the Bank of America branch located at 1414 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02138, on January 11 and 12, 2024. This letter aims to highlight the discriminatory and disrespectful behavior exhibited by one of your employees, Mr. Vinh Ton, which I believe warrants immediate attention and action. On January 11, 2024, following the advice of a call center representative, I visited the aforementioned branch to address an issue related to my auto loan. During this visit, I was subjected to a series of unprofessional behaviors by Mr. Vinh Ton. Mr. Ton repeatedly left our meeting without any explanation, forcing me to fetch him back to the office to continue the ongoing phone call several times. This blatant disregard for professional conduct and basic respect was both frustrating and demeaning.Further exacerbating the situation, after completing the necessary transaction at the teller counter, Mr. Ton refused to offer any additional assistance to call the repossession department, despite it being well within the branch's operational hours (4:40 PM). Such a refusal to service a client, especially in a time-sensitive financial context, is entirely unacceptable and falls well below the standard of customer service expected at Bank of America. On January 12, my return to the branch resulted in a similar experience with another banker, Lu. Following a pattern similar to Mr. Ton's, Lu abruptly left our conversation to make a phone call to the repossession department. When I addressed this unprofessional behavior, Lu became visibly flustered. She stuttered and claimed to have: "a personal... she has an appointment at 4 PM", which appeared to be untrue, as she continued to converse with Mr. Ton after the call. The behavior of both Mr. Ton and Lu suggested a possible bias against me, potentially due to an assumption about my status as an international student (which I'm not). This perceived discriminatory attitude is concerning and, if accurate, violates Bank of America's policies on equality and non-discrimination.These experiences have led me to conclude that I cannot recommend this branch or these bankers for future interactions. I respectfully request that Bank of America conduct a thorough investigation into these matters and take appropriate actions to ensure such behavior is not repeated.

I miss the Porter Square branch for convenience, however, Arias at the Harvard Square branch has been very helpful. (I'm not tech savy.) Arias spent about 15 minutes helping me. She even wrote out the information that I needed. Lee P.S. Another time, the manager, (I don't remember his name) was also very helpful.

I cannot say enough good things about Rosa, the financial center manager. She went above and beyond to help me and my family with a complicated transaction. It was a time intensive process that she handled in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, all while remaining attentive and courteous with the other customers. I will certainly be returning to this branch because of her assistance.

I always say that an experience must be either remarkably impressive or distinctly disappointing to warrant an online review. With that in mind, I'm glad my recent encounter at this location falls into the first category.Despite the (understandable) choice one might make to explore other branches following this page's plenty negative customer service reviews, Vinh effortlessly dispelled those expectations. His genuine kindness, willingness to help, and approachability were pivotal as he navigated me through an unfamiliar aspect of the largely digital experience.

American Express website says I can use traveler check for the cash change.Unfortunately, the people underfloor in the bank have no idea about how to handle it. They had many excuses and finally asked me to come back tomorrow. I’m leaving Boston this afternoon baby lol. They really need more training.

I was skeptical about going to this branch because of the google reviews. Credit Solution Advisor Officer Vinh was super helpful and kind. I highly recommend to everyone who lives in the area.

The worst customer service in the planet, I kept calling for a month sending emails no one responding and this happened 2 seperate times. Coming to the US I thought boFa might be at least average, but it is mediocre you can find better in each part of the world even in developping countries the service is much much better. Run away from these guys they only care about you a little the first day when you're opening an account and they disappear after.

a bank that doesn't keep foreign currency for customers is a bank that gets a 1-star review.

Awful service! I’ve been with this bank for years and things have been fine until I came to this location. They gave me false information and put me in further debt when I was trying to pay things off. I had to ask 8 different times before I was allowed to speak to a manager. Never going back and switching banks after this experience.

tl;dr: if you aren’t already a customer, do not use BoA if this will be your primary branch. This bank is a prime example of poor management and bad customer service. The line for the teller is always inexplicably long and, worse, slow moving, because there are never sufficient employees working the desk there. Bafflingly, at the same time that the teller wait is upwards of half an hour, there are always multiple employees milling about in the main entryway, apparently killing time or waiting to greet customers. Worst of all, the employees are constantly dismissive of the clients, even to the point of behavior bordering on rude. A task as simple as trying to get quarters devolves into being told smugly that it isn’t the bank’s responsibility to have quarters on hand, and that the customer’s expectation that this bank should be able to provide them is out of place. (To say nothing of the fact that these issues are ongoing at this branch, and have been this way for YEARS. That nothing ever changes here despite the *vast majority* of Google reviews being one-star speaks volumes.)

Stopped in to ask about switching over to BOA from my previous bank and was directed to Shiva. Was handed a wrinkled up paper and rushed out, with none of my questions answered and no assistance with opening an account. He, however, had time to hang out with everyone in the lobby. Guess it’s not a place to visit if you’re looking to switch banks ??♂️

They used me to train their new employee. It took me 30 mins to get a cashier's check...They should have trained their employees much better before putting them in front of a customer.Very disappointed...
