Terrible front desk dude who seemed to be put-out, doing his job. Just not friendly. Never a thank you or welcome. Fire Alarm went off on Saturday night. Big hassle. Cafe and bar wasn't open or staffed. Food was awful. Shower head was broken. Never

Had a great time staying here during a business trip. The hotel staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were clean. Parking is available at a public garage around the corner, which the hotel will validate for. I really enjoyed the park area around the hotel. It was lovely to walk around and see the wildlife. It’s also a close 10-15 mins walk to Alewife Station.

Stayed almost a week at the AC Hotel by Marriott to explore Cambridge and Boston. Great location as it's a short and beautiful walk to the train station. The front desk service was always amazing. The complimentary fruit-flavoured water and the lavender pouches were a small and thoughtful touch for guests. The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. We found a brownie under the bed, the shower ledge was a bit dirty and the wires for the sound machine and alarm clock were very dusty.Despite these minor concerns, would highly recommend staying at this hotel for its great location and service.Rooms: Standard Marriott hotel rooms with two queen beds and a full bathroom. Loved that the floor was hardwood or laminate.

Absolutely hated this hotel. Parking isn't free need to pay $25 even if your starting at the hotel. My boyfriend & I were both guest but since I wasn't added to the room I needed to pay. Only way to access the elevator is with a room key. Pool was way to small. The front desk lady had an audacity to accuse me of stealing something that I wouldn't do when I had stepped in the room for it two minutes. OVERPRICED FOR NO REASON. NO FOOD & NO FREE PARKING

My son and I were visiting Boston for 2 days to tour a college campus and attend his sports camp. We were considering renting a car and staying at a clean, new, more modest hotel like Holiday Inn express. We decided to stay at AC Hotel Marriott Cambridge instead. The reason being that after a hard basketball camp day, it would be nice to eat and lounge at the Hotel, which is typically found in a more expensive hotel. The website depicted a very nice lobby, restaurant, lounge area. On Saturday night at 6:00pm we went to the restaurant, which was closed, and were told “ there weren’t enough people, so we aren’t opening the restaurant/bar today. If you want, there is a seafood restaurant that is a 15min walk from here. You could also order from Uber Eats”.Our 2 day total of near $900, for a hotel without food, is just unacceptable… and NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED.If you are hoping to relax after a long day, in your hotel, for food and/or drinks, go elsewhere.

Really nice, seemingly brand new hotel in a great location for Cambridge and Arlington area. Wasn’t expecting much for a hotel bar on a random Tuesday night but the bartender whipped up a great smoked manhattan and the kitchen made some great eats. Recommend.

I was very disappointed with my visit to AC hotel cambridge. We were a total of 6 people driving from NYC and checking in to 2 separate rooms. We were supposed to reach late night on the 3rd of July, however due to EXTREMELY HEAVY rainfall on the way we reached around 12:00 am on the 4th. We called and confirmed if we could do a late check in and they were completely okay with it. Took down our details too. We were really excited seeing the hotel in person because it was neat, had a good ambience and looked classy. Now this is where the issues began, the check in process weirdly took about 35 minutes. The 'Night manager' absolutely had no idea what he was doing. He couldn't even get our key cards to work. The second thing that annoyed me the most was that even though I had paid for both the rooms, he ended up charging me again for both of them. He later had to cancel the payment which took over a week to get refunded to my account. In addition to charging me for the rooms again, he ended up charging me $140 for their room deposit which is in fact just $40.I asked him about the breakfast which he said was $XX (do not remember the price right) as it is a 'Business hotel'After this entire debacle was over, we went to our room. The room did not have the toiletries so I called the front desk asking for them. I mentioned the Toothbrush, toothpaste and if possible the room slippers, he responded with - "We are not one of the fancy hotel like Sheraton." This after saying they are a business hotel. Mind you Sheraton was cheaper that night but we wanted to stay in Cambridge so we went with this. Now another thing that bothered me, the towels in the bathroom. These looked like they had not been washed. There were black stains on them. There were stains on the bed sheets. For a 3 star hotel, I believe they could have been better.I brought all these issues to the attention of the manager in the morning as I had to discuss why I was over charged for my deposit. She just said the Night manager made a mistake and you should be good now.The only reason I am giving this place a 2 out of 5 is because The hotel has a really classy vibe and I was digging the ambience.I did not have the opportunity to check out the pool or the restaurant. I would be open to checking them out again if things improve.

This gem on the edge of Alewife is an awesome option for anyone who wants to stay near Boston or Cambridge and have a little peace and quiet at the same time. It's easy to drive to without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of Boston traffic, but close enough that it's a short walk to the T train for easy access to the city. The hotel itself is fairly new, so the building and rooms look great! The rooms are clean and have plenty of space.Parking on-site is a breeze, and the hotel validates parking for easy access to come and go as you please. The prices are fair for the location as well. The hotel is in a newly built corporate park, with a few small businesses and clearly marked trails for biking and walking right next to a nature preserve. You actually walk through the nature preserve to get to the T station. It's the most tranquil commute to the train I've ever experienced in/near Boston.Highly recommended for families or for those wanting to stay close to Harvard for events like Boston Calling!

Very modern hotel with clean rooms and good service. Rooms get cleaned every 2nd day which is becoming the new norm. Bar closes at 10 so plan ahead for a night cap.

This place is okay, we were told the breakfast was included but when we went down to eat we were charged $21/each for a European style breakfast. It was definitely not worth $21.The rooms were fine the shower a little cramped but they did provide a sound machine which was a nice touch.

I had an incredibly long day of traveling— multiple annoying connecting flights, multiple hassles at the airport and such; I was not in the mood for more difficulties. Upon arrival I was greeted with fascinating and visually appealing decor— instantly assuring me that I would adore my stay. When checking in, I had trouble with my bank and card; another setback I was certainly did not prepare for. The concierges’, Justin and Barbara, eased my mind and provided assistance that exceeded my expectations. Despite my troubles, they were understanding and assisted me in the check in process— assuring that everything was transparent and providing me support in solving my problem. They were patient as I made multiple phone calls, assured me that they were perpetually present for any questions. I am writing this from my room now— genuinely thankful and impressed by the professionalism and graciousness of the 2. I think exceptional customer service is under appreciated, and Justin and Barbara certainly deserve to be recognized for their prowess. I look forward to the rest of my stay, the expectations are incredibly high due to the staff I met— I am excited for the rest of my stay.(Forgot to mention, the room is incredible as well! Beautifully designed and incredibly peaceful.)

This AC hotel is one of the first hotels in this price range that as a European has a nice interior and is not dated. The rooms are nice and and new. The only issue I have is with the beds, which are EXTREMELY soft. If started in a king size, and had serieus issue with my back the next day. Staff was friendly enough to put me in rooms with a queen sized bed, which was a lot better.Traffic to and from the hotel to Boston can we a bit busy at times, so take that info account for your commute

If you're visiting Boston on vacation, this is not a great location! Too far away and Uber rides will cost you a small fortune! The room was nice & spacious and it was clean however, be aware that they only clean the room every other day if your only staying three nights. We had to ask for towels. The room had very little storage & no safe but it did have a refrigerator. You will pay for overnight parking and there is no valet however, if you have a handicap pass, there are a few handicap spots right in front of the hotel entrance that you can use for no cost You will also have to bring your luggage to your room and to your car when you leave. They have free coffee service in the lobby which is nice. The tv had many movie & sports channels that were not connected. This hotel is definitely suited for business travelers & not for vacationers.

Better than most AC hotels I have stayed in. It is very convenient location to many office buildings nearby which is why I selected this property to stay in.. Close enough to Logan airport (25 mins w/o traffic). Staff makes this property GREAT. They are very accommodating and service oriented. They even have a text service and check in on you periodically to ensure you are having a good stay. Love this level of service, makes you feel welcome. Reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that if you stay 2 nights, they DO NOT do any room cleaning - they didn't mention this until you check in and tell you that 3 or more nights has housekeeping but not less. They give you fresh towels and remove trash on demand but I was a little thrown back without this being mentioned prior to check in. Otherwise, pleasant stay.

Stayed here for a weekend with a group of friends. A/C was out in the room both nights, despite two trips up by maintenance staff who claimed to fix it. Desk staff were perfectly nice, but in suggesting we switch rooms did not offer to have our stuff moved for us or the pull-out made up. Pretty overpriced for the experience. Parking and breakfast are exorbitant and the T stop is not nearly as close as the website makes it seem and involves walking alongside a highway for 0.5 a mile.
