I can’t recommend John enough for anyone at any level of fitness, whether you’re looking to lose weight, get stronger, or just maintain physical health. He works with clients of all ages and is always kind, funny, encouraging, and most importantly safe and attentive. I’ve lost 65lb and counting over the last 9 months with John and can’t speak highly enough!

My girlfriend and I worked out with John over a few months and it was amazing - John is a knowledgeable and motivational trainer who tailored our workouts around my injury (with good focus on strengthening it slowly). His equipment is also phenomenal and I wish every gym had access to what John has - the ability to see # of reps and your force output on every rep was a godsend, and the air compression makes everything smooth. And most importantly - Jagger is a cute, extremely friendly doggo, who never once interrupted a workout, but was always happy to receive a treat or say hello when you walk in. Could not recommend John more.

This is my gym. There are plenty of treadmills. The staff is friendly. The perfect gym if you want to just get in a workout and not stop for chitchat. Very clean locker rooms.

I've been working with John for almost 2 years, 2-3 times a week, and it's been wonderful. I'm a 65 y.o. woman, no particular injuries or concerns, my goal was to get stronger, to make sure I could do, and keep doing, everything I want to do. His training is very oriented to *function,* and that's just what I was looking for. I love the work-outs -- he really pays attention to where I am and builds up the routine gradually, changing it up and adding more challenging moves as I gain strength. I feel great, find everything -- gardening, biking, swimming, traveling -- easier. And on top of everything else, my clothes fit better! Alice B.

I'm starting 2017 with the best personal trainer in Boston: John Carter. Already he's got my 64 year old body getting accolades from folks 1/2 my age. All in 6 months. Looking forward to what 12 more months will bring!
