I brought a white blazer in to be cleaned, and when it was returned, it had huge yellow stains all over it. It was obvious that they are reusing their solvent and not distilling it regularly. Even though Edna was apologetic (which is why I’m giving them 2 stars), she blamed it on the clothing manufacturer AND my blazer was completely ruined. I would not take whites to this dry cleaner.Service: Industrial laundry

This business is run by the most hard-working person I have ever met. Edna is an incredible seamstress and business owner. She always remembers me amongst her very large customer base and will squeeze me in no matter what. I appreciate all of her talent and dedication. Highly recommend!!!Service: Alterations

Will also agree that Edna is the best and such a sweet woman. Had a suit tailored and later brought in other ripped garments to be repaired. Expect 2 weeks for alterations, 1 week for minor repairs. I wanted to get a leather jacket cleaned, but Edna told me that I'd probably be overcharged and instead gave me advice for cleaning it myself.EDIT: Got a suit tailored (jacket and pants), dress shirt pressed, and a sweater fixed for $64. Great qualityServices: Alterations

I brought a simple long gown to the tailor to make it a little shorter. No applications or changed to shape- just to be made a little shorter. I brought the dress, came to ask after a week, they had not had time yet. They asked me to wait outside for about 20 min so they could do the work. The work was done in 15 minutes and I was charged 95 dollars. I walked out feeling sad and tricked. I will personally never go here again. I should have asked on forehand what the price was, my mistake, but I cannot understand how a 15 min job on a dress without any specifics can cost 95 dollars. I've never left a bad review in my life for anything, but I guess this had to be the first.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Edna is absolutely fantastic. I took many dresses to her to be tailored over the years while I lived in Brookline and every single one turned out perfectly. I moved to the South Shore last year and tried a local "tailor" in Hingham recently. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that she was an extreme amateur tailor and I left in tears with an unwearable bridesmaid dress. I knew exactly where I needed to go - back to Sunflower Cleaners in Brookline. Edna not only fixed the mistakes on the butchered bridesmaid dress, but she did so on an incredibly short timeline. She essentially had to remake the dress but she was able to restore it to its full glory and made it fit like a glove. I cannot recommend Edna and Sunflower Cleaners enough!!Service: Alterations

I found Sunflower about a year ago because I saw somewhere they made fabric masks for sale. Edna, the seamstress, does that--but she is also a master of alterations and has saved 4 of my favorite garments from: over-stressed seams (two different beloved trousers); repaired a rent in my favorite silk blouse; and most miraculous, repaired moth damage in a pretty knitted shawl I'd made myself. She is a miracle worker. Try her! And she & her daughter are lovely to work with. Well-priced too! Cathleen

Becca: From what I can tell, this shop is run by one woman who sits by the doorway and works her butt off. Went here to alter my dress for my mini wedding over the summer. It wasn't super intricate (a basic dress from BHLDN) but she did have to shorten and alter the train and did a fabulous job and was very quick. Prices are super reasonable. I had to stop by to drop off my husbands suit and she remembered me which I thought was sweet. Definitely has that "mom and pop shop" feel and I'm happy to give her my business. Will be returning for bridesmaid dresses / other clothing items and out dry cleaning.
