I’ve been a loyal customer of Stavros for years, and personally have always been happy with the quality of their services - from dry cleaning, to hemming, to small repairs (stitching up small holes in sweaters, etc). However, today just rubbed me the wrong way.
Last week, I dropped off two blazers and two pairs of pants to be cleaned (no rush, $76 total, which I paid for upfront per their policy). Today when I went to pick up, they told me I had a $10 balance I needed to pay. When I asked why, they told me they’d found a tie in my boyfriend’s blazer pocket that they had cleaned, which would cost an additional $10. The tie had clearly unintentionally been left in the pocket and did not need to be cleaned. I can see both sides here, and paid the $10 (after the owner was quite pushy about it), but it just rubbed me the wrong way. Their prices have always been high but based on the service I kept returning. At this point, I will be taking my business elsewhere as I have no doubt I can get the same level of service for a more reasonable price and with a more pleasant experience.

Do not go here for wash and fold. They charge more just to do sheets. My total with sheets and a bath mat, and three pounds of laundry cane to $72. I have never had to pay for more than $35 anywhere else! I will not come back here for wash and fold. What a rip off! Oh, and it’s only two day service. Nope! Never again. I’m quite annoyed.

I paid $35 to clean a skirt. It looked clean but it wasn't fully ironed and they used safety pins to pin my linen skirt onto their hangers so now my poor skirt has 4 holes from the pins. You'd think they'd know better than to do that!

Asked for a dress to be hemmed to 32 inches long. They gemmed it to 25 inches so now it's too short to wear to work. The dress was expensive as was the hemming and now it's ruined
