Great, hand-picked selection of gear. Not the average, unselected department store kind of experience. Instead, individual help from highly knowledgeable people like Talia (she deserves a raise??). You can tell the entire team/leadership genuinely care about the sport. Strong recommendation.

I have come in to Marathon Sports Brookline a number of times, and Talia's kindness, expertise, and assistance in helping me find shoes are second to none. Whether it is a shoe for easy miles, racing, or even a long run shoe full of cushion, her knowledge of running shoes is fantastic. I cannot overstate how grateful I am for her help in picking out a couple pairs of shoes for my Spring marathon training. Absolutely fantastic experience. I hope that Marathon Sports can send their full array of stock to this location, if only so Talia can give customers who want to try on everything imaginable the options. Thank you so much Talia!!!

I never write reviews but I felt I had to because I had such a wonderful experience here thanks to your employee, Blair! Blair was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I have a lot of foot “issues” (pain, high arches, etc) and Blair was able to find me a pair of truly comfortable shoes that meet all of my needs. Give Blair a raise or a promotion because they are an invaluable member of your staff!

my partner and i came in looking for new running shoes without necessarily knowing what we needed. blair was so amazing in their analysis of our feet shapes and gaits and gave lots of thorough recommendations and explanations of each shoe we tried on. blair 4 president !!

Marathon sports not what it used to be. Came in to the Washington Street location for a pair of shoes and the person helping me couldn’t be bothered. She never asked about what I was looking for, never checked to make sure things were fitting correctly, and literally just dropped boxes of shoes in front of me and walked away right after to look at her phone. It sucks because I spent a lot of money (nearly $200) and was totally polite and patient but wasn’t really treated like a customer.Marathon Sports used to be my go to but after this experience, I won’t be coming back to this store.

John took great care of us. We were out of towers who had walked 3+ miles to get there. He worked to find a shoe he wasn’t even sure he had. Then, sponsored our Uber ride back to the North End, to his favorite restaurant. It was fabulous…so good, we went a second night!! Good people here!!

Just got a pair of running shoes here. Great service, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They let me do some quick paces to see which shoes felt the best, watched how my feet land, and gave great recommendations.

I stopped by to purchase a new pair of shoes. There were 3 customers ahead of me being helped by staff. I briefly browsed, located the shoes I wanted to try on and waited my turn. And waited. And waited. After 15 minutes of not being acknowledged, not even a hello, a nod, nothing from any employee -- I left. The employees acted as if I wasn't even there, and it's a small location, so not as if I wasn't seen. I understand others were being waited on, however, an acknowledgement or a "we'll be with you shortly", I would have stayed. Truly disappointed, as I've always had pleasurable experiences at their Wellesley and Shrewsbury locations. I won't be back.

Super knowledgeable and helpful staff. Blair helped me pick out a pair of shoes and I really enjoyed my experience in the store. Only thing is they are cash only at the moment, so make sure to bring enough cash to cover your purchase
