If you are considering childcare in the Brookline area, look no further! LCS is the absolute best. We started our little one there when she was only 4 months old and we knew she was in great hands. Everyone at LCS is amazing and clearly cares for our child as though she was their own.

LCSh cared for both of our children from around 5 months and 7 months, respectively, up to preschool/preK. The caregivers are wonderful and Lissy and Gladys have created a warm, safe environment for the children to learn and grow.

I love this daycare! My daughter attended their infant, older infant, and young toddler programs. It was such a gift to have a safe and reliable place to drop her off during the workweek. She really loved her teachers there and was excited to go there and play with her friends. We would definitely recommend LCSH.

I wish that I could give Little Children Schoolhouse more than five stars. Today is my younger son's last day at LCSH, ending a six and a half year journey together that began when my older son was six months old. I am having trouble imagining how I will parent in the absence of LCSH; suffice to say, I recommend them completely and unreservedly.Little Children Schoolhouse's tagline is "Your Extended Family," and they have more than lived up to that promise. We found LCSH while I was pregnant with my older son, and it was far and away our favorite of the (many) daycares that we toured. There was an irrepressible warmth in the place and in the people we met there, which more than bore out in the care my children have received. As much as I hated being away from my babies, I felt incredibly secure in the knowledge that they would not only be cared for and taught, but loved, in the care of Lissy and the incredible teachers at LCSH. So secure, in fact, that when we moved from Fort Hill in Roxbury out to Arlington when my older son was only a year old, I insisted that we remain at the daycare. For nearly three years (until we gave up the ghost and moved back to Boston), I drove from home in Arlington to LCSH in Brookline and then into Boston for work - entirely because I refused to entrust the care of my children to anyone else. Only time will tell how good most of my parenting decisions will end up being, but this is one I will stand by to the end.Throughout our journey together, LCSH has never let us down. When my older son was a baby and it broke my heart into ten thousand pieces to leave him, the teachers gave him extra TLC, and even gave me the hugs I needed to pull myself together. When he got a little older and was speech delayed, they told us when to worry and when not to. When my younger son was born early and our care plan for the big kid fell apart, his teacher stepped up and offered to take him into her home for a few critical days until we could get our act together. She was also the boys' first and only babysitter for the first several years of their lives. When it was time for the big kid to potty train, his pre-school teacher told me he was ready and helped me understand how best to do it. When my mother died and I had to go out of town alone to bury her, both boys' teachers sent me photos every day with the boys holding "Miss you mommy" signs the teachers made for them. When a global pandemic struck, LCSH did everything in their power to keep my babies safe. There are no words to express how grateful I am for everything Little Children Schoolhouse, its leaders and its teachers have done for us.They've taught my kids, they've picked them up when they fell down, they've held them when they cried. They gave them a safe space and prepared them for kindergarten. They have been the extended family that (like many) I do not have and so desperately needed. They have done an extraordinary job on the most important possible task - loving my babies. If you need a daycare, look no further. This is the best place in the world for early childhood education.

My son went to Little Children's Schoolhouse in 2019 and then 2021-2023. It's been wonderful. The teachers are kind, the hours are great, and it's relatively affordable. They go outside on walks and to various parks almost every day.

Both of kids went here starting at 3 months old. The teachers are so amazing and caring. They really do feel like family. The owner, Gladys, is wonderful. They also speak Spanish, which is a great introduction to another language at a young age. You will not regret sending your kids here.

We stumbled across Little Children Schoolhouse at the peak of the pandemic in 2020, and I just hoped that it would be an okay place for my son. I cannot begin to express how blown away I was by this daycare/preschool and how much it changed my son's life. He attended from ages 4.5 months to 3.5 years, and we recently moved from Boston. Leaving LCSH was by far the hardest part of the move, and my son continues to talk about his teachers a month later. I am a pediatrician and the most important things to me were safety, learning, and communication. Gladys and all of my son's teachers went above and beyond in all of these ways, but what I did not expect to find was the amount of LOVE they gave my son. It truly felt like a second home when I was working long hours at the hospital, and I have never felt that level of trust with anyone else who has cared for him. We loved his teachers so much that one of them became our regular babysitter. He also picked up so much Spanish and will now be attending a Spanish immersion preschool in our new city! I am SO grateful for everything LCSH has done for our family and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

Excellent preschool and pre-K! Very responsible, caring and loving. We couldn’t have chosen a better school for our child. It is bilingual so the kids become familiar with Spanish too. They teach everything so kids are super ready for Kindergarten upon graduating! Great communication! After so many years we never had a single concern. Highly recommended! We got the recommendation from a colleague at work and are so grateful!

Best place ever. My daughter has been there for more than 3 years. The leadership and teachers are very trustworthy. I could leave my daughter there and not worry about anything. She came home after a full day every day very happy. She made very good friends. Very stimulating environment. She learned math and reading, music, dancing and everything you can imagine. I feel sad she has to leave for kindergarden. She is just so happy there!

We have had an amazing experience sending our daughter to Little Children Schoolhouse. We started her in the infant classroom when she was just two months old and we were very nervous about her transition. We were put at ease by how professional and careful the staff is and by the regular updates and photos we received (often the first photo before we even made it back home from dropoff!). The classrooms are bright and joyous and we love how much time the children spend outside. Gladys has been so easy to work with and wonderful as a resource. Gladys really knows our daughter — for example she proactively helped coordinate classroom progression as our daughter grew older. But what really stands out has been the genuine care and warmth of all of the teachers. We feel like our daughter has always been in good, loving hands and it is reflected in how much she likes going to daycare: some mornings our 15mo will grab her shoes, walk to the door, and start waving and saying “byeee” to let us know she’s ready to go! It has been wonderful to find a daytime home for our daughter where she is so happy and loved.

We send our child upon friends' recommendation. After a year, we found that their teachers are extremely careful with children and super nice in communicating with parents too. They're already doing a great job but sometimes you may propose something that they can improve, they'll do it right away. Maybe that's why they are a great place for children. Also, they provide detailed updates about children's meals, potty, and other activities with real time photos through the Brightwheel app. We like that a lot. Will send our child there again when We're back from another city.

Hi Son has attended Little children schoolhouse for over 2 years and they became family. My son is now bilingual, has learned to be independent, has good social skills and has friends and teachers that he will remember forever. This Daycare became family and it was so hard to say goodbye to them. Teacher Diana and teacher Yune were very caring and patient with my child and i will be forever grateful to them.I highly recommend this daycare.

I cannot recommend LCSH more! They welcomed our son with open arms into his first experience with daycare. Everyone knew him by first name and what he liked to do. He looked forward to going each day and came home exhausted - in a great way! As a parent in healthcare, it was reassuring knowing I could depend on his extended family to care for him while away at work. The hours are also very friendly for working families. They truly became part of our family!
