Don’t go here if you wear contacts. She is awful. Worst optometrist that I’ve ever seen. They gave me the wrongs prescription and charged me for my follow-up appointments. Wasted my time and energy.

I have been seeing Dr Budio for an eye exam every year for the last 25 years, and she has been able to correct my vision to 20-20 consistently.Dr. Budio is very patient in making sure that she listen carefully to any comments that you may have to determine the best outcome in prescription for contacts and glasses.I sent my daughter to Dr. Budio, and she liked her very much and had the same positive outcome.I moved out of Brookline, however I still make the effort to go to the Brookline Lenscrafter's location for my eye exams.I have been to other locations of Lenscrafter's in Dedham and Braintree, and I think that Brookline has best serviced my needs, and I recommend both Dr. Budio with a "10 out of 10 rating" with 10 being the best score!I recommend both Dr Budio with no reservations.

There are two doctors here: Steven Sharma and Debra Buduo. Let me comment about each of them.First: Dr. Sharma. SUPER SWEET MAN. However, he overprescribes! One of my eyes is much weaker than the other. I have been told for years by doctors that they are not giving me the full prescription in that eye as I couldn't handle it. I warned him of this and yet he chuckled and wanted to prescribe it. That meant a change of +0.75 from my last pair of glasses. He also wanted to add +1.00 reading bifocal on both sides. I refused that part. The prescription he wrote made me feel very ill and my eyes hurt. This started a cascade of returning glasses, finding a new store to get glasses, and ultimately still not being happy. I liked the frames best from lenscrafters, but the lenses were too strong so my business went elsewhere. Moreover, the glasses I finally got are not what he prescribed. They are weaker and I see fine.Second: Dr. Buduo. Due to the too strong prescription written by Sharma, I had to come back 2 other times and see Buduo. Mainly on the contact lenses side. One time she was extremely rude and rushed me. The other time she was much kinder. However, I still don't feel the contacts prescription is right.Overall I wasted money here and had several weeks of trying to fix issues caused by prescriptions given by these doctors. I wish I had gone somewhere else to begin with.

I needed a screw tightened on my glasses, and the lady was able to resolve this for me in under 5 minutes, free of charge (even though they don't carry my brand of glasses)! Great service overall, really friendly team! Big thanks!

Fantastic service. Walked in with a pair of broken readers that my sister loves. Richard (I think) -- a man with more than 25 years of experience -- came out. I showed him the glasses, he said "give me five minutes." I sat in their comfortable waiting area. Within a minute or so, he stood up and said "here you go" with a big smile on his face. Then, he cleaned the glasses and handed them back to me. I said "Wow, that was fast." Then he showed me his special technique, which he had learned during his career. My sister is thrilled, as she was about to throw them away. Worth noting -- there was no charge for this amazing experience. :)

Excellent care and service. A careful, comprehensive exam. Honestly the best eye exam in Boston, and I have tried many! My whole family goes to Dr. Buduo now!

I don't normally write reviews but I am offering mine because after reading the negative reviews before my visit (Feb 2nd, 2022: 2.2 stars from 15 reviews), I was surprised about how painless and nice my visit was. Dr. Buduo was kind, knowledgeable, and a great listener. The front staff were efficient and easy to work with. Eleni even helped me get approximately $150 worth of discounts on my lenses. I will go back, undoubtedly.

I have been going to this optometrist's office for ten years, but my latest experience has been a nightmare and I will not return. Dr. Sharma was very friendly, and at my last visit he told me that once I have worn the trial contacts for a few days, I can just call his office, tell them that they are OK, and they will email me my prescription. This was exactly three weeks ago today. I called the office several times, and each time the receptionist assured me that they will send the prescription ASAP. Today she just shared that the doctor is out 'for about a week' (information that she chose not to mention that last few times I called). I paid $240 for the eye exam and a month later still have no prescription.

I went there with my brother to pick up his pair of glasses on Saturday afternoon (April 23rd at around 2pm) and one of the Sales Associates named Shannon, refused to clean my brother's glasses when we requested that she did that, knowing from the day when we purchased the glasses that cleanings were free to LensCrafters customers for life. Shannon talked down on my brother, saying that there was fog on his glasses which made his glasses look dirty and that the glasses were always in the case and didn't need cleaning. She didn't acknowledge my presence once. She ignored anything that came out of my mouth. She only paid attention to my brother. My brother and I came into the store together; why didn't she give us both of her attention? Shannon gave me the impression of being a horrible and snooty associate. How dare she act arrogant with us, especially with me by acting like I wasn't there? I, in fact, bought two pairs of glasses previously at that location years ago! Shannon gave me the impression of only caring about customers who actually made purchases. I will never forget how she treated me and my brother as if we were nobodies. Paying customers or not, anyone walking through LensCrafter's doors have a right to feel welcome and not underestimated. Shannon should be ashamed of her behavior that day. I would love for her to apologize and clean my pair of glasses well as my brother's. When a customer requests a cleaning when LensCrafter's advertises that cleanings are free, then the associate must comply. I didn't want to make a scene that day as my brother gets very upset when I throw a fit, but I write this here and did call the store this morning to let Shirley (an associate) know about this matter. I hope to definitely speak to Kim, the manager, about this situation. Shannon should be warned about her conduct or terminated.
