So, I live in Boston, was looking for where I would open a new bank account, was walking through the North End, and found the Century Bank there. I used their ATM, paid the $3 fee to take out money, wanting to get a coffee after I was done! and then went inside intent to open a new account, but first walked up to the teller window to ask if they could break one of my $20's. They refused. They said, "we can't break bills nor give you change unless you have an account here." The people behind the teller window then started laughing. I told them I just paid them $3, at the least I was entitled to break a $20 there. He said, "it's against bank policy I cannot do it." I replied, "you can do it, you're just choosing not to." He said, "nope, can't do it for you." I told him it was ridiculous, a stupid policy, and he was being a j*** for being snarky and laughing at me when I was about to open up an account with them. I turned to leave and the tellers behind the counter all chimed in, sarcastic tone, "byyyyyyyyeeeee!!!!!!" I told them to "F***k Off," a justified reply to their insults and sarcasm and d*** policies. I will never open an account with them, do business with them, nor use an ATM with them. Terrible business model.
