Stayed 1 night to watch the Head of the Charles Regatta. Of course, because there was more than 12,000 competitors and their supporters in the area at the same time made the room very, very expensive ($390). The room was OK, but a little shabby- I had to ask the “desk” for a roll of duct tape to seal the wings of the window air conditioner ? and being 25 yards from the “C” line trolley was not a problem until early morning. The staff were kind and responsive.
Next year plans for attending the race will happen next week ?

Know before you go.
Room at the 1750 location on the 3rd floor was noisy. Shower dirty. We could hear someone on the 4th floor up at 4:30 am, taking a shower, rolling things around. We could hear our next door neighbors as well. Service was odd and poor
Rooms: Know before you go.
1750 room was noisy. Shower dirty. We were awakened at 4:30 am by someone on the 4th floor. We could hear everything through the walls. You get what you pay for.
Lobby was dirty and shabby. The host was not confident or comfortable in her role.

Absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs. Moldy a/c units, broken beds, hair everywhere (mostly of the pubic variety). Literally left after my first night, but would’ve rather have stayed on the street. Had to present at a conference the next day and completely ruined everything. Reporting this facility as a health hazard.

We arrived and the smell was from a old house that was never cleaned, I heard the noise from the next room some yelling was going on there half of the night, in the bathroom was full with hair on the floor,
The blanket and the pillows had a horrible smell, the AC filter wasn't cleaned, the blinds was broken and the sun was shining in from early morning!!!

It is cute bed and breakfast. Congested but adequate. The room I got had a few tiny little things that needed fixing but it was a good size. With all required furniture. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast and snacks was good.
The pink top receptionist was sweet, didn’t show up to my room but did hand me the keys when I booked the place last minute.
The receptionist in the afternoon was a bit odd.
They don’t have an elevator with narrow staircase !
But overall a good stay in a safe neighborhood.

Very pleasant stay. Staff was helpful and the location is great for taking the subway all over Boston. Some of the other reviews made us nervous, but our room ended up being very clean.

The hotel employs students who are writing any positive reviews. The hotel bed was disgusting. It was full of hairs. There were clearly hairs from two different people in the bed. I’m talking about hairs EVERYWHERE. It was very late and I had to give a talk the next morning. I took pictures of everything and went to the front desk. No one was there. Then I had to clean the sheets myself. I said the next day that I want to move out and be reimbursed. The hotel staff was extremely rude, refused to look at the picture and told me I wouldn't see a cent back. I decided to still move out and double-bay over spending a single more night there - that’s how disgusting the room was and disrespecting management. Avoid this hotel at all cost. It's really disgusting.

This was an awful experience. I arrived at 1750 Beacon at 4:00 pm to check in and no one was there and the door was locked. I could not get in. I rang the bell and no one answered. There is a phone next to the outside door and I called and no one answered. After calling several times and waiting about half an hour outside I finally got a human being to answer who gave me a code to get in the building but said I would have to wait for someone to check me into my room. After waiting an hour in an empty corridor someone appeared but said my information was not on file. He made a call and was able to get my information faxed and sent me up to a horrible attic room. This was around 5:30. There really was no one there accountable to me or the establishment and I did not feel safe. I will never go back. Just horrible.

Very unpleasant experience at check-in for a one-night stay at 1750. Found that our room (king bed) had been given away to a hungover man who was sent over from the sister property. When I called the manager to get a king room, as we were promised, he only offered a room with 2 doubles and was rude and arrogant when I subsequently asked for a refund (‘That’s not going to happen!’). Eventually got the hungover guy to move to a room across the way (where he had already dropped his luggage).
Location was great, room was acceptable, price was expensive, manager was a total jerk.

It's an older place so the rooms are a little tight. Other than that all is great

They would not provide the option to reschedule a Monday night to another evening because my medical appointment was changed. I understand last minute cancelations on a weekend, but to not offer this on a Monday out of season and just take the money for a small independently owned inn is pretty disappointing.

Let’s start with the positive :
The staff is really nice, when we arrive a young man named Nick checked us in and gave us advices on food and tours to do in Boston and all the employees answered our request in the most efficient way.
Location is good not far from Fenway and downtown is quite easily accessible via transit from the place.
And now the negatives :
The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly (we found some hairs in the bed on our arrival).
Finally if you have a car avoid this place by all means. They pressed us to let our car keys in an unchecked box, so they could move it in case of emergency. The parking in the back was indeed a small spot, but we have paid a price to have this feature so we would not have to find parking in Boston that have strict rules for cars. I find it weird to leave access to my car to someone I don’t know. They could have just said no parking instead of giving this strange option that makes everyone uncomfortable.

The radiator had no controls, and the room was uncomfortably hot.
