During my visit to the Citizens Bank parking lot, my vehicle was unexpectedly towed. Upon contacting the towing company to inquire about the situation, the individual who answered the phone displayed a regrettable lack of professionalism and courtesy. They asserted that security personnel authorize and request every vehicle that is towed, and that I should address the matter with them. The towing fee was $180, payable in cash, and hung up.
Subsequently, I approached the security personnel on the property, who informed me that they had not authorized or requested the towing of my vehicle. They further clarified that my vehicle should not have been towed, as I was performing services for the property (specifically, the bank). They assured me that they would provide full reimbursement for the towing fee and the cost of an Uber ride to retrieve my vehicle.
However, upon arriving at the towing company's location, the fee had increased to $188. This establishment appears to lack professionalism and organization, and I strongly advise against engaging in business with them.

A predatory towing company. Charging illegal towing rates, legal max in MA is $108 at time of writing. They are vultures scouring the local parking lots, e.g., CVS on Market street. Horrible, avoid at all costs.

This shady company likes to tow cars on “private property” without the property owner’s knowledge or consent and then charge the car owner $200+ despite the property owner explicitly saying that they have permission to park there, but you can only pay cash using the ATM that will steal your card info and then refuse to give you a receipt or refund you for the towing that the property owner states in writing should never have happened

It is way too generous to say that this towing company is atrocious. We had a proper SpotHero spot in the BU area but our car was towed after having parked for just one hour. All signs in the area referenced a different towing company with nothing at all saying Robert’s/Frank’s. SpotHero didn’t know where our car was, and so we thought it may have been stolen. Had it not been for a tracker on our car that led us to this awful towing company, it would have taken us some time to locate it. We called the company and the rep was rude, angry and unhelpful. He said they towed our car bc they have Spothero’s system and it wasn’t updated to reflect we had a booking and that it will cost $178 to retrieve it. No negotiating any waiver of the fee. We spoke again with SpotHero who said they don’t even have a relationship with Robert’s/Frank’s and still have no idea why they towed our car. It left us thinking that this towing company is illegally towing cars and leaving owners with no option but to pay whatever astronomical amount they arbitrarily set to reclaim their car. SpotHero ended up paying the amount so that we can get our car. This towing company needs to be investigated!

Not only was my car towed illegally with proof but when I tried to speak to the woman who answers the phone she was nasty and didn’t care to want to see the proof. After explaining to her I was hung up on. Extremely unprofessional place that needs to go out of business

They towed our car illegally from the parking lot by Kurkman's Grocery in Brookline at 3am where we LEGALLY PAY to be allowed to park overnight, the landlord said he has no contract with them and was not even aware our car was towed. Pretty sure this company is a scam, as we had to pay 178 dollars, the woman there was very rude and refused to sign our reciept even though there is a spot for her to sign on, and wouldn't even give us a reciept at first until we demanded it. Also heads up, they have a large and poorly trained "attack dog" chained up out front, I assume to intimidate people, and have used 3 different business names in the last few months (Robert's, Frank's, and ABC Towing) Even our Uber driver warned us about the place before he dropped us off.

This tow company is extremely predatory. They towed my vehicle after I parked it for 30 minutes in the parking lot of an abandoned grocery store in allston. The store is no longer even paying them to tow people away but they decide to prey on people using the empty lot as if the store is still in business. These people are rotten.

If you want an egregiously rude staff you've come to the right place. I SIMPLY wanted to speak to their rude tow truck drive who whose foul mouth almost gave my mother a heart attack but I wasn't even afforded that luxury I called twice in the morning and evening after she told me about the incident and both the man and the rude who hung up on me 3 times were of no help in identifying or at least allowing me to speak to this individual. And who says there's no honor among thieves

Robert's towing came over the top and towed my car, which admittedly I was in the wrong for. However dealing with the people there was the bigger problem.
As disgruntled as I was, I was respectful to the woman in the shed when I arrived, but she seem pissed off that she needed to do work. Then when I realized I was blocked in by other cars and requested for help, she snapped at me as if the reason I couldn't get my car out was my fault. Ended up having to wait a while for a truck to come and move my car. When I waved to the driver to thank him, aggressively told me to leave.
As bad as it is to get your car towed, the real punishment at Robert's towing is dealing with the rays of sunshine who run the place. I will be distraught if I ever have to step foot in this place again. Good luck to the future victims.

Place is a dump for how much they charge, not to be dramatic. Either way I was in the wrong parking and got towed but remained polite while being spoken to as if i was a convicted felon.. I recommend hitting a local gas station for a cash withdraw before hand so you don't need to see them twice let alone pay 4x the amount at there atm.
