Negative reviews don't align with my experienceOnly criticism I have is placement of plastic trash barrel next to Customer Service entranceAllston/Brighton has vicious Rat problem - that can be verified with city 6-1-1 - it has little to do with how clean/dirty area is; that being said, there are necessary steps/interventions to control issueRats are like hybrid, steroid, small dog sized, bold & disease-ridden - be very mindful entering/exiting after darkAs I approached to toss Starbucks trash in, whole barrel shook & moved - I knew exactly what it was & warned Customer Service Staff & other customers Cardboard is literal Rat Candy, so of course they lurk around U-Haul but a steel trash barrel with a lid or even more mindful placement away from Customer Entrance would be helpful (Rats can't chew thru steel - they literally eat thru plastic barrels - this one is no exception)Staff were very helpful - Isaiah checked me in answering all questions, explaining details as well as upgrading & discounting rental - didn't catch name of man processing return but he too was very helpful & mindful of expenses- excellent Customer Service Equipment was clean & well-maintained as wellMy experience was excellent Highly recommend Brighton location

Terrible service. The attendant does not properly communicate. Cancels reservations without notification. Expect poor service.

Completely seamless experience. I needed a small truck for a week to store garage items while the floors were being epoxied. Isaiah was the attendant when I picked up. This guy was helping three customers at the same time and tending to each of their needs politely and efficiently. There were 6 people in line when I arrived and unthought it would take 1/2 an hour. He had me checked in and in a truck in 5 minutes! Truck was fine. On return Sam helped me and was equally pleasant and professional. Not sure who is writing less than 5 star reviews but likely people who are stressed about their move, having a bad day and wanting to complain about something without reason. Thank you U-Haul!

Rented a one day, 24 hour truck rental from this location. Truck was fine and checkout was reasonably smooth (only a 10 minute wait)I arrived an hour early to drop off and there were 6 other trucks in line to be checked in. Staff said to leave the car with keys inside and they would handle the rest. It was not checked in for another 2 hours, at which point I was charged $50 for an extra day (Truck, dolly, and insurance). No reply back from emails. Calls to the number listed were rerouted to representatives who said they were unable to help and would transfer to customer service, which ended back in the exact same queue.I now have to dispute with my credit card company as Uhaul refused to acknowledge their error.

When I came to pick up my trailer (in the afternoon) there was only one woman working, causing a very long wait. To top it off - she was unable to hitch the trailer to my car- and asked me to do so. So I had to lift the trailer, connect it to the car and secure it to the hitch. This caused me to hurt my back to the point I needed urgent care. On top of it all, the location is extremely dirty, and a dog was kept, caged, on the premises.

Returning my UHaul here was easy and quick. Christian Aguilar, who was the attendant at the N. Beacon Street location was friendly and helpful. He helped me park my truck and made me feel comfortable to come back to rent again if I should need a moving truck in the future. Thanks, Christian!
