EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Nasty to deal with

Although Chris the owner was a nice guy and nice to work with, his employees ruined all my furniture. I am not exaggerating, every piece is either scratched, missing or broken. I was faced with an eviction due to a huge disagreement with my landlord and Chris was understandable and helpful so I was under the impression I would be ok. He explained the process to me to just take necessary belongings and he will pack up the rest and store the rest until we found housing for our belongings. After securing housing we received our belongings and everything was ruined. We were missing a bed, chairs, appliances and household items. Another example of many issues was my coffee pot and toaster were on the bottom of my box with cleaners. The cleaners opened and spilled in my $200 coffee maker which ruined it. I called him and he said he had nothing left for us so I am thinking either he gave our stuff to other people in error or his employees took the items. I know we are an eviction but they are a company that was hired to do a job and they are not gentle, careful or caring for the pay they received. Even evicted people are good people and deserve respect especially where leaving was the best decision for our family to get away from a stalking landlord. Eviction was the only option to get out of the lease. We don't have much but what we had was expensive and in great condition. I had to throw so much out! Please be weary of this company and take inventory.

I used Gallant Moving and Storage last month to move me out of my apartment in Bridgewater. I was supposed to have my items placed in a storage for a short time while I transitioned to my new home. Chris met me at my apartment and gave me a quote to move my items into my storage unit at Extra Space Storage in Raynham. He was very kind and very accommodating. When we got to my storage unit they wanted to charge me almost $100 more than I was originally expressed (due to lack of available spaces). I needed a one bedroom size storage so the asking price was ridiculous. I was frustrated! Chris allowed me to put my items in his storage at no extra charge because of the hassle and confusion. When I came to get my stuff he had the guys help me move the stuff. I didn't have to lift a finger! He didn't ask for additional money or treat me like a bother. That's so rare when dealing with companies. I'm so shocked that there are so negative reviews because I was met with nothing but politeness and compassion! I will definitely be using Gallant Moving again and have referred multiple people to him. Chris is good people!

The person refused to give a quote and hung up on me. Don't bother.

Don't waste your time. I called to get a quote to move from Bridgewater ... the town the company is located, to east providence, less than 30 miles away, and was told it's an$1,800 minimum for an out of state move. I asked if he could work with me because it's only 50 minutes away and he hung up on me. Call MacDonald moving, also in Bridgewater. They were super nice and gave me a good faith quote unlike this place.
