BEWARE -- TD BANK does not fill there own ATM Machines, so if you have a problem, like we did today (the $50.00 slot was filled with $5.00s, NOT $50.00s) unless you are a TD Bank customer THEY WILL NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND GIVE YOU THE MONEY! Manager was very unhelpful. We called our bank at home, while at the bank, and the manager argued with my home bank over my cell phone! Very unhelpful! Now I'm out money until the ATM company reconciles it!

I’m not sure whether the bathroom was actually closed for COVID, which is always a dubious claim at best and an excuse to not pay anyone to clean it, or whether the Karen behind the counter decided I wasn’t dressed well enough to be deserving of kindness in an emergency. Whenever you leave a business wondering how much worse they’d be if you weren’t (also) white, it’s a toxic mess that should never get your money.UPDATE- A little while later, this is still bothering me. Maybe I’m just a bit depressed today, maybe it’s irrelevant, or maybe this really speaks to “you never really know how your petty gestures affect other people.” Unless I come back dressed to the nines, I’ll never know whether I was gifted physical suffering because of a misguided corporate approach to a bank located in a frou frou town on the Cape that literally sits across the street from Sotheby’s. Could anything paint a clearer picture of the socioeconomics? (Having travelled extensively over the past few years, I can assure you that “bathrooms closed for COVID” happened very predictably and predominantly in corporate chains in poorer and/or non-white neighborhoods. To be clear, this phenomenon was much, much, much worse than it allegedly happening here. I just have a harder time buying that it really did happen here.) Or maybe Karen read me as someone poorer than she is, someone who wasn’t working as hard to project “it’s a living wage” with frosted tips… Neither makes one hopeful for humanity, although the urge to punch down makes more sense coming from working class people who can’t afford to punch up. Whatever it is, I wish Karen nothing but peace…

Easily the worst bank I've ever dealt with. One issue after another not to mention that the building and associated curbs and sidewalks need a complete overhaul. However, I digress. The monthly fees were never disclosed properly and we found this out after receiving our initial checking and savings statements. The "Beyond" Checking and Savings costs almost $50 per month to carry without a direct deposit. A joke. Also, the ATM card for my wife which was ordered on a Saturday and was supposed to be ready by Thursday, was not available for pickup. The excuse was a broken machine. After deciding to close out the accounts, their printing machine could not print out a cashier's check due to another malfunction and so I needed to walk out with thousands of dollars in cash in my pocket. Ridiculous. Lastly, while closing said accounts, there was an annoyed gentleman meeting with a manager and overheard him complaining of being charged fees on a banking error for a $12K or $13K check.

Visited the branch in Brewster, MA where my mother banks. She is not a kid any more and needed some assistance getting extra signing authority in case of an emergency. The people in the branch are extremely helpful and followed up to make sure everything was set. Pretty nice for a big bank.
