I came in to buy a specific lens with intentions to use Progressive. I have used this about 7 times in the past and very familiar with the process. Not only did two men (who worked there) come and monitor the transaction asking me questions like “that’s pretty expensive huh” - which almost made me put it back because, do you not want to sell it???
The woman who helped me started asking me the questions for progressive. I inform her that I DO NOT want to apply for the credit card. She proceeds to ask me questions, halfway through I tell her, I’ve never had to answer these extra questions for progressive before and are we SURE this isn’t for the cc. She LIES to me, as I get a text immediately saying “thank you for applying for the Best Buy Credit Card.” I’m livid, I show her the text and she attempts to gaslight me saying it’s part of the process - IT IS NOT. She continues to try to tell me she never signed me up for the card. But suddenly had to re-enter/ ask all the questions again- because now she’s doing the progressive app. 2 hours later I get an alert from Experian about a new credit inquiry from Best Buy.
I know there are quotas for retail and signing people up for the cards, but LYING and then getting aggressive when I show her proof of her lies is absolutely unacceptable, not to mention FRAUD. I called to speak to a manager, nothing. I called corporate and they said they would have the manager call me back and NOTHING. In a country where credit scores dictate our way of life, this woman is playing a very dangerous game with people’s lively hoods.

Terrible customer service. Can’t connect to anyone from the store when calling. They said they’d put in a call back request for the manager and would receive a call within 1-2 hours. That was yesterday and still no call back. I’ve gone a week without a washer machine because they delivered a lemon. When I originally called to set up the exchange it took the woman an hour and once I got off the phone I noticed in the confirmation email she placed the exchange for the dryer. Super annoyed. Oh then I noticed they ripped my dryer vent upon install.

This Best Buy is excellent, the reps were attentive and knowledgeable. It is not super easy to get there but worth the trip.

Beware of open boxes at this location and don't believe anything they tell you. We were sold an ice maker in "Good" condition - no critical parts missing and and working as new. 2 yr warranty.
Critical part was missing and the unit didn't work. Never tested, obviously. Viking told us that the unit was from 2015 - 9 years old. And completely out of warranty per their policy on how old it is.
Best buy agreed to troubleshoot the unit then tried to cancel the appointment since we were covered by the Viking warranty. Can't make this stuff up.
Check absolutely everything at this store and believe nothing.

I do appreciate your help, and I hope things work out. That doesn't mean that management at Braintree didn't try to slip something by their customers - this is an old unit being sold as new. That's deceptive and not right.

Terrible experience at this location. The manager Ravi was condescending, rude, and did not offer any help with my situation at all. I bought a brand new speaker from a different Best Buy location but just happened to be in the Braintree area. I wanted to see if the local Best Buy here could help me; definitely not. The management team turned me away at every question. I would not recommend this location or their team at all. Left completely dissatisfied.
