I am Avis preferred and decided to rent off airport because I needed the car for a month and the price would be significantly cheaper without the airport fees. Normally I rent at airports where I am recognized as a preferred member, have choices of vehicles in the app, secure them and go straight to your car. Never again will I rent from Avis off airport. It’s a manual process, check in, wait in line and they don’t even recognize you as a preferred member. At this location I said I needed a small SUV for my mom who has mobility access issues and walks with a cane. When I pointed to a small SUV (Nissan Rogue) for my intermediate class, she said it would cost me $40 extra per day not even looking at my discounted rate with my employer. When I asked for a manager, she calls him and says “this guy says he’s Avis preferred and wants a small SUV”. The manager says no. So I leave there with a small sedan that was clearly insufficient for access for my mother the entire month. I could have canceled in the app and put in a large car rental but she said no SUV for me unless I pay $40 extra per day. I felt unappreciated and definitely not valued as a customer and Avis preferred member. Never again will I rent here or any other off airport Avis location.

Due to a local event going on and there was traffic managed by cops on the same street, i was just few minutes late to drop off the vehicle on a Sunday morning. Avis charged me for an additional day rental by just being few minutes late (<30 mins). This is not a good courtesy by the rental company and i would never recommend anyone to come here.

Terrible customer service and support. Cars are filthy.Update 9-25-23Got a notification from my bank saying someone tried using my credit card at this location. So you’re not only dealing with bad service and dirty cars, but now FRAUD! This company needs to be investigated.

I had rented from the Braintree location for years and was always given clean reliable cars. Unfortunately, this was not the case on my last rental. Not only was the car dirty, the battery in the fob died after one day leaving my friends and I stranded by the ocean for more than 4 hours. I will not be renting from them in the future.

The only reason I ranked 1 star is because there was no option to put 0 stars! My wife and I are out of state and booked a car online. However, when we arrive we are told that the online service should have not worked as they had no more rentals. The manager was contacted and told his employee that the last vehicle they had could not be rented. The manager did now help us to find a new location or any other assistance. Thus, we find ourselves stranded at the rental agency with no car as we were dropped off and trying to contact their customer care center who has terrible audio connection. Worst experience renting a car ever and not really wanting to come back to the Boston area! No problem with Jasmine as she was very sweet and restricted by what she could do because of her manager!

The team at Avis rental in Braintree ma at 595 Pond st was phenomenal with our recent rental, the pickup and drop off process went smoothly. I have been renting from them for a couple years, fair to say that we will rent from them again and again and again!!!!! Great job guys, thanks

Do not ever use Budget For any reason. They Bait and switch their rentals so you think you're renting a truck and then they try to hand you a van t telling you that it's all the same size. I'm sorry the interior square footage of a box truck is not the same interior square footage as a 12 ft cargo van. Secondly I went to two different locations the first one realized I wasn't buying the garbage and gave me a truck . I went to a different location the following Monday in Hanover Massachusetts I could barely understand the man that I was speaking to he had no record of my reservation when I got there he tried to give me the same bit about a van and did not have a van or a truck on his property furthermore I looked at my bank account today and they put through a $75 charge on my bank account I called their customer service line could not understand anybody on the phone over there either and then was told I would get my $75 that they had no right charging because it's fraud in about 5 to 7 days . There was no supervisor available at this time to speak to me do not go near these people and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for fraud

I rented a car online and went to pick it up and they had NO CARS! It ruined my day took up lots of time and now they won't even reimburse me for the Ubers. Don't do business with these people. FRAUD

Car was great; cost, reasonable for nowadays, and staff were pleasant and.competent enough. Have a solid plan for arrival at and departure from the rather seedy location of 595 Pond St, Braintree MA. If you went with adjacent and presumably cheaper, Budget Rental, you'd probably feel the surroundings matched the price. (But I did really like the Avis car.)

Please check my review history, I rarely leave anything but high-star reviews. Avis has a new strategy to trick people into fees. It used to be insurance, now it's "toll" or "daily convenience fee toll counter product". When I rent with ANY other agency, the toll function is automatic, and I happily pay the tolls as they are tabulated, plus a one or two dollar fee, no problem. Recently another company dropped the ball and I had to use Avis for the first (and last) time in years. When they ask, "will you be driving through tolls?", what they are ACTUALLY asking is, 'would you like us to charge you $14.99 per day just in case you go on a toll?' I wasn't within 20 miles of a toll road for over a week, and Avis still charges for "Toll Service". Emails to customer service were about at dismissive as you could expect. The onus is on me, I now remember why I pay extra not to use companies like
