“I have personally been involved with the NMLC sense I was young, and I have many fond memories of the time I have spent there. I attribute my interest in marine biology and the greater world around me to the NMLC, and having such a wonderful humanitarian organization nearby is truly an honor. It is important to note that the national marine life center is not supposed to be some sort of aquarium or museum, but rather a conservation and protection facility which nurses injured marine animals back to health, and then releases them when possible. The portion known as the discovery center is only there to spread awareness of the issues that face these creatures and educate the public, and in that regard it does an excellent job. I would like to recommend that anyone in the area pay a visit to the marine life center. Donations are always appreciated, and go a long way to assuring the continued existence of marine species native to the Buzzards Bay area.”
