Do not take your animals here - drive the hour to Weymouth. Would give negative stars if I could!

I don’t usually write reviews, let alone bad ones but we had a horrible experience here and will never return. I understand mistakes happen but our 2 year old German shepherd was cut wide open to remove a foreign body that would “not pass on its own”. After deciding to proceed with the surgery a few doctors said to move forward with, it was in fact a bolus of food moving through his digestive system and no foreign object was found. I was devastated they had done such an extensive surgery for nothing and the dog took a while to heal. This vet cared more in this situation about money than making the situation right and it was very disheartening to see as our dogs are our lives. Staff seemed unprofessional when dealing with how unhappy we were and they even refused to see the us when I had a concern about the healing incision until the financial aspect was resolved. Overall would never return.

I arrived at the center, the woman at the front left the man she was helping took the carrier and ran my sweet Squeeky into the back. Everyone there was amazing. Squeeky did not make it. The staff could not have been more supportive. I usually have gone north for emergency care for my animals...not anymore.

Dr Beaver is the best. Most surgeons usually recommend surgery because that's what they do. Dr Beaver always has his patients best interest in mind. He takes each situation and recommends what best in that specific case. I drive 2 hours from NH with my dogs just to get his opinion, which I trust 100%. It's worth the drive every time.

Every single person here has always been so good to my pets & I. Thank you Dr. Fields for being so nice and for helping my Scooter today. I picked him up to put him on the bed and he started crying and not putting any pressure on his hind leg. They were able to see us the same day and after tests and X-rays, they determined he had IVDD. I really appreciate everyone here.

Joanna and Katie were professional, kind, compassionate, and attentive. Amazing serviceThis was a tough night. Our cat was visibly struggling. He was a mess. We called several vet ER location and had each vet tell us the wait would be hours and we needed a minimum of $2000 to have him seen as an emergency visit.CCVS said bring him in. We will be waiting. From the minute we entered the facility the professionalism was clear and comforting. They took the cat immediately and we started the paperwork. With in an hour he was seen, bloodwork and diagnostic done.

This facility, the entire staff and the Cardiology Department definitely gets 5 stars from our family. Dr. Rebecca Quinn, her staff and the other Cardiologists on duty, went above and beyond to help us navigate through a year and a half of treatment for a health issue we had with our little dog, Sami. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, helpful and very kind as we dealt with her illness. We received clear and concise information and direction on what we needed to be doing. At the end of her dear little life, the staff was respectful of her condition and the support I needed as we said our goodbyes. Thank you to all of the wonderful people at CCVS. God bless you all.

My dog was seen at the Buzzards Bay site. All of the staff were polite, kind and professional, and the doctors were great. My dog got excellent care there. From the caring, welcoming front desk, to the vet nurses, to the surgeon, it was all exceptional. The doctor discussed with us trying the most conservative surgical plan for my dog, and we really appreciated that because a previous vet pushed us into drastic, fruitless surgery that caused a lifetime issue for my dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to take any of my dogs to the Buzzard’s Bay office if I needed to, and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. My sister informed me about the hospital and her experience was just as good. The doctors are among the best I have taken my dog to, and similar to a mother with her children, good care for our pets is of utmost importance. Thank you to everyone at this hospital !!! I only wish that my regular vet was this good. Thanks for truly caring, I will never forget this experience, that just couldn’t have been better.

Absolutely horrible experience. Brought in one of our dogs with a scary laceration from getting attacked on a walk on a Saturday night — with the jugular vein exposed. We paid a huge “deposit” of $2500 to get the dog stitched up which they said they would do promptly that night. We got a run-around for 3 hours! The receptionist behaved in a nasty and unprofessional manner from the moment we arrived and waited with the bloodied dog in our arms and acted out like a toddler when we inquired at 2AM about the delay. They then came out and told us (in a 24-7 ER) that they wouldn’t stitch the dog up until the morning and told us that it would now cost nearly $5000! Clearly all about the money and taking advantage of being a monopoly on the cape and near cape (we went to Buzzard’s Bay). We left (after what then felt very much like a purposeful delay in letting the dog go with us after we expressed dissatisfaction)!and drove to the “gold standard” 24-7 Tufts facility in Walpole at 2:30AM where they took care of the dog (and us) promptly, professionally, and compassionately — and ended up charging us a fraction of the price. By contrast, the receptionist at Tufts gave us blankets and an examining room to nap while the doctor worked on the dog. It’s bad enough to have had such a horrible experience at CCVA and to have been treated so badly there — and added insult to injury that they were also looking to gouge us for more than 3 times what we ended up being charged for better care and all the follow-up antibiotics and painkillers.

Had to do an emergency visit with my Storm and everyone was so wonderful from the people at the desks to the nurses and also want to give a special thank you to DVM Chris Greiner for being so caring and gentle with my baby girl. Words can not express the fears I was having and you made me feel so much better after talking to you and she is doing fine today so can’t thank you all enough for how kind and understanding and professional everyone was. Will definitely be my go to for any emergencies we have in future but have to honestly say I hope I won’t ever have to again. Thank u so much!!

The two stars are because the receptionist’s demeanor of the phone and the doctor had a seemingly compassionate attitude. Yet, the experience was a horrible one overall.Seeing that my girl cat was declining, I had been in contact with a mobile doctor for euthanasia at home. Her voice mail said to text for emergency. We’d talked Thursday, Friday and Saturday. No mention that she would squarely not be available on Sunday.I came home from work Sunday to see my little girl couldn’t walk but was determined to try.I immediately called the euthanasia doctor and got a message that they were closed but to text in case case of emergency. I got an instant text back recommending different practitioners for euthanasia. They were either out of range or did not work on Mondays or Sundays are both. Pets don’t seem to die on Sundays…My regular vet has little availability and does no house calls.I called my Pet Sitter, retired veterinarian technician, who recommended that I stay home with her, that she might pass that night. As she tried to move again, and cried, looking at me as if she were asking why could she not move, the sitter heard her and recommended that I go to the hospital, that it would be quick, and that Care would be compassionate. Her experience dated from before this place turned corporate.I called and Becky at CVA kindly explained that they would take her away from me for just a couple of minutes to install a catheter and bring her right back, and that I would be able to spend as long as I wanted with my little girl. I’ve had several animals put down in western Massachusetts where I had an absolutely phenomenal veterinarian. I don’t remember a catheter at any one of those times. I asked if I could be with her and I was told that it was not possible because they were in emergency hospital and they did “not allow the owners in the back”.When I arrived, the door to the “quiet room”, next to a very noisy machine room, was locked. Someone found a key to the room. When they came to get her and told me they’d be right back. Over ten minutes went by and I rang the buzzer. No one came.At now over 15 minutes, I rang again and someone eventually came in.She didn’t say who she was . Just “ we’re going to do some paperwork so you’re going to have her incinerated?”I felt every motherly instinct when I asked “Where is he? She’s been gone for well over 15 minutes and I’ve never had this happen before! Why is she not back?”The answer was: “they’re finishing up the cath. We had a shift change.” I felt the air leave me…. The most unprofessional response in any medical profession.. I’m a doctor btw…I asked her to bring her to me and this woman replies: “ usually we have the owner pay before we bring the patient back”.Add complete insensitivity to unprofessionalism. I said I wanted her there now, that I’d never experienced anything like this and she replied: “Let me see where she’s at”.When they brought her she was all wrapped with a tape all the way up her front leg with barely any energy left to hold her head up. She starred in my eyes and just placed her head against me and made one loud cry. God knows what she went through in an ER filled with emergency care animals….I was told I could spend as much time as I wanted. I told the doctor that I had always accompanied my animals until they start turning cold, which she said was fine. Ten minutes after the lethal injection, some chirpy smiling happy jumpy young woman comes in and chirps” Hi!!! I’m here to pick up Emma!”Now it’s unprofessionalism, insensitivity and complete lack of training.I plainly replied no. She backed off and for the next 10 minutes, several people came to peek in the room through the window. There were no other “cases” waiting. I felt pressured.I tried my best to plan for a peaceful passing which is what any pet parent wants for the animal they cared for for nearly two decades. This was awful. This poor creature was just a number and suffered more than was needed.Greedy corps have destroyed healthcare in all fields. Avoid this place.

They helped my cat right away and ended up saving her life. They’re all SO nice, caring, understanding and personable. Each person I spoke to was patient and made sure we got the help we needed accurately. Can’t say enough good about them!
