This Google Maps listing is in error and includes the wrong zip code. This is the Egleston YMCA Teen Center. I think most of the reviews on here are for the Dorchester YMCA, which does have a pool and facilities for adults. This one does not.

NOT A YMCA!!
Apparently this is a building just for teenagers. Not sure why it’s called a YMCA but it’s a “teen development center” as told by the man at the front desk. Extremely disappointing and false advertising!

Water aerobics Tuesdays and Thursdays. Edwin the instructor is fabulous. He works every inch of your muscles. Once the class is over, you felt as if you were in the gym lifting weights. He’s the BEST water aerobics instructor I’ve had.

steam and room and sauna works. The gym is not crowded and people are friendly

This is an awesome community where people come to work out and get healthy, kids are engaged in activities, teens are empowered and trained and people are given the skills they need to reset their lives.

Great place. Taught my autistic non verbal son to swim. Also great staff and people. Full court Basketball at 5am is awesome on weekdays.

If I can give 0 stars I would! The branch is run like a zoo, completely disorganized, unprofessional staff . Exactly what you expect in the hood. I wouldn't reccomend this facility unless your a women that likes to be harassed while you work out. Also, the summer camp program is chaotic. The children talk about sex my daughter said there should be more supervision with these kids... but she will not be returning next week for the remainder of her camp. I've been going to this location for over 5 years. And I've washed my hands with them. Enough is enough there needs to be a complete revamp of management. Seriously cuz you lost a long time member!
