STUDENTS BE WARNED. I'm a local college student and after a physical checkup was recommended by my doctor to have an EKG done. He said it wasn't a necessity but would "just be a good thing to know about." I said that I would only do it if insurance would cover it entirely. I'm 21 years old and didn't know how to check that sort of thing myself, the doctor assured me that I would not have to pay anything and it would be totally covered, so I believed him. Flash forward to now and I'm facing a $1300 bill for a procedure I never even needed in the first place. I tried to appeal the bill, but the hospital denied it. Lesson learned: DO NOT TRUST ANYONE IN THE HOSPITAL WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY.

Overcharged for a service that would have been covered by my insurance. No communication and no clarifications provided despite my repeated attempts to sort things out with both them and my insurance.

Bad experience with the hospital with multiple situations. They book my son appointment and change the date without call me. They also book an echocardiogram for my son and I told them that he needs to be put to sleep for this procedure but they didn’t listen to me. When we arrive to the appointment sure enough they can’t do the echocardiogram because he won’t stay still. Wasted my time and money for a procedure I told them that would not work.

I’ve experienced the absolute WORST care here I have ever experienced…
I had surgery on April 1st and knew I would be staying for a few days, I honestly expected good service, you know TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN. The surgery was fine, the nightmare started after the surgery, my dad waited 8 hours to see me after the surgery then they allowed him to see me for less than 5 minutes and told him he has to leave, I’m assuming it’s because they didn’t have a room ready for me yet and had me wait over an hour and he couldn’t just stand there waiting but that was unacceptable.
When I FINALLY was assigned a room, the nurses were lovely and catered to me even though the cafeteria refused to give me food and was giving my nurse a problem but she fixed it and just gave me food from the nurses breakroom (my roommate was nice enough to have her brother go to Trader Joe’s and get me chicken noodle soup and snacks even though I didn’t know them, complete lifesaver!)
Anyways, the lovely nurses shift was over then came the night nurses, basically the devil in disguise. Anytime I rang the bell it would take an hour to get them to come in the room and I would fall asleep waiting for them and have to hit the bell again and again and again. They do not CARE AND ARE ABUSIVE! They did not help me get up even though I was dizzy and was unable to move, I literally just had thyroid surgery and was still in pain and on medication so I was drowsy but they did not care. One of the nurses told me she can’t keep coming to unhook the Ivs, heart monitors and stuff for me to use the bathroom and I would have to do it myself and then she just took me off the Iv completely so it was convenient for her, I still needed the fluids and was dehydrated but once again she doesn’t care. Anyways, after using the restroom I tried to hook up my heart monitor and foot massager thing and the Iv in my hand ended up pulling out making me bleed everywhere, I call the nurse and she didn’t come so I kept calling and a nurse came in and gave me a towel and wet wipes but didn’t help me so I told her to call someone else and that didn’t work. I had to find someone in the hall to ask for help. Another thing was my heart monitor kept beeping and I called them over for over and hour and it turns out my oxygen was getting low every time I went to sleep and they didn’t even notice. Another thing is the surgeon came in and told me to start going for walks in the hallway and I asked the nurse if she can come walk with me in the hallway for two minutes and she said “oh you can walk by yourself” also, once again I’m still in pain, dizzy, feel numb and I JUST HAD THYROID SURGERY. Whenever I would ask the nurse for help she would look at me and walk out of the room. Anyways, I BEGGED TO GET DISCHARGED, I was finally discharged and they didn’t go over the aftercare , the nurse told me to call if I had any questions and I did the next day I was discharged I only had one question about washing my incision and they told me I wasn’t allowed to call after being discharged and to call someplace else. I ended up using google to get help. THIS HOSPITAL SUCKS!! STAY FAR AWAY! I’ve had other issues with the endocrinology department and waiting 3 weeks for medication. Other things have happened at the hospital too, but they treated me like I was useless.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my Dad who recently underwent invasive skin cancer surgery at Tufts Medical Center. Our entire family couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the care he received. From start to finish, the entire process was handled with the utmost professionalism and compassion. In particular, we can't say enough positive things about his surgeon, Dr. Jawad, who was not only incredibly skilled but also took the time to explain everything clearly - putting my Dad at ease. He is truly a gifted and genuinely kind and caring person. We are immensely grateful for Dr. Jawad and his highly supportive staff.

I just want to take the opportunity to share my experience at Tufts Medical Center. We went to Tufts because our neurosurgeon, Dr Ron Reisenberger is located here. My wife had neck surgery last October and I just had back surgery last on Tuesday.
I cannot say enough about the employees at this facility. Along with the med surg nurses, recovery room nurses the staff nurses, med techs and other support staff. I couldn’t help notice how they worked as a team, helping each other to offer the best health care possible.
My surgial team was amazing. Starting with Dr. Reisenberger, who has great bed side manor. Is very caring and a fantastic neurosurgeon. The operating room staff were friendly, kind, and professional.
As the saying goes “ when the only thing you have to complain about is the food, it’s time to go home .”
To the staff at Tufts, keep it up we do notice what you do and are very appreciative for all you do,

Everyone at Tufts was great. They make informed decisions on your behalf to help you stay safe. For that observation, they get five stars because keeping people safe is their number one priority. Otherwise, the place was impeccably clean, the staff were all super, and I was pretty much was asleep the whole time. ?

This hospital has to have the worst patient friendly staff around Boston,My baby is in the NICU and my wife is in the ICU and they tried to make me leave the hospital even though I have access to see my son 24/7 ,nurses are rude and don't listen, the security guards act like it's a hard task to open up the doors and the social workers have no say in anything except how you get to and from home, not recommended if your going to be having a baby anytime soon

The front desk staff are very rude and impatient. Had many bad experiences here. Though I did get a good OBGYN doctor and a smooth surgery which is a positive one.
