Doctors are great. The food availability and quality is poor. Do yourself a big favor by either bringing something with you or eating off campus.

I visited Tufts for my OBGYN in February and I have been paying for it ever since. Long story short I have never ever dealt with so many "professionals" that do not know what they are doing like I have at Tufts after my visit. The referral department called me atleast twice a week for the past 2 months for a problem that wasn't my fault. Masshealth told me that in order to address the problem all Tufts needed to do is bill MassHealth directly rather than any of the plans under Masshealth. I relayed this information to the Tufts Medical Center billing department months ago, and they assured me that they billed MassHealth accordingly. Now here's the kicker! Do you think Tufts, a literal hospital, can bill the right insurance? NO! I received a bill from Tufts for the full amount of my visit. The bill notes that Tufts billed the wrong insurance. If you want to receive health care without getting multiple calls for an issue that was the providers fault, spent countless hours trying to do Tufts jobs for them, and not receive bills in error go to a different provider!

I've been a patient for the formerly known as Tufts New England medical center since the 90's and they simply don't realize that it was my Doctor from the formally known as whidden memorial hospital in the city of Everett who was the one who basically picked the Tufts not me

If you have other choices in care, go somewhere else. My parents recently transitioned here due to the retirement of their prior doctor. My God, you get attitude the moment you step into the 4th floor esp if you're Asian and you don't speak English. They look at you with annoyed eyes as if you're interrupting their lunch break or you're there to cause trouble. That's what you get from the front desk staff. Then the doctor, arrogant and rude and doesn't even listen or care about what you're here for. Don't go over your current medication and just quickly try to move you out. Then at the checkout desk, the staff ignores your directions and sends the wrong medications for refill and the ones they got right, sends it to the wrong pharmacy. Incompetence through and through.

I had much longer post, but deleted it because it was too difficult to submit. This is a terrible hospital with inept doctors and cold staff that cost my mother her life and 5 months suffering on life support after a botched surgery. Avoid at all costs. Don't let their dog and pony show fool you.

The very worst medical experience that I have literally ever had was at Tufts. Don't go here if you can help it, and especially avoid the orthopedics department. They seem very nice but ultimately don't know what they're doing. The best thing that I can say is about my experience at Tufts is that it almost (but didn't) kill me and made me a stronger person. I started with very minor problems that became major problems through the lack of common sense, restraint, and basic hygiene on the part of doctors at Tufts. The doctors were very friendly and smiling as they made mistakes that almost cost me a limb and lied about it later to save their jobs and reputations. I'm fully recovered now with an intact limb after paying another very competent doctor outside of Tufts a great deal of money to correct their mistakes. I'm definitely not going back because of the lack of medical skills and ethics that I experienced at Tufts. I never knew that doctors could be so slimy, dishonest, and uncaring about patients. I used to have so much faith in their intelligence and integrity before this experience. I'm well in spite of the doctors at Tufts and not because of them. Good riddance.

I want to thank all staff for their great service and compassion. Doctor Munther K. Homoud needs to be recognized for his professionalism and compassion. I can see why all the staff talks so highly about this doctor. I hope all doctors take notice and follow his leadership.

Dr. Furman Walls was my doctor last night when I was brought to the emergency room he was an absolute angel his bedside manner was so calming even though what I was going through was not. I wanted to thank him for taking time to make me feel comfortable on what everyone was telling me was a overwhelming busy night for them at the hospital . Thank you dr. Walls!!

Worst hospital I've ever dealt with. Had to get a PCP with new insurance and couldn't get in anywhere else. Nothing but issues. They had my weight wrong after a physical and next visit asked if I gained tons of weight (I had just lost 25 lbs so you can only realize my dismay) They didn't even know why I was going in for surgery....thought my MOM was the patient. Tried to get an order for an outside procedure and has taken over 2 months to even get the paperwork sent which it still isn't even resolved yet. Still waiting to make an appointment because dr Iqbal office has NO clue what they're doing. Leaving soon and going elsewhere. I'd say steer clear! They have NO clue wtf they're doing.

I have never had a worse experience at a hospital. No one ever told me what was going on, I lay on the hospital bed listening to the staff gossip for about an hour and a half before anyone came and checked on me. When I was finally seen by a doctor she didn't even ask me questions about my condition and continued on to clearly profile me, giving me a diagnosis that made absolutely zero sense due to my background. She wouldn't listen to me and shut me down every time I tried to explain to her. Dr. Kathryn Lupez treated me less than human, I have never been made to feel so little and this is in a place that is supposed to care for people. Thinking about my experience makes me sick to my stomach. I am 20 years old, am out of state, have had health issues my entire life, and this experience will change the way I look at the medical field. I would avoid this hospital if you can.

MAMMOGRAPHYWhy, after all these years, are they still sending women home without reading the results on site, as at St. Elizabeth's?Is it so much to ask?

I'm an international students studying at Emerson college. Everytime when I go there most of the stuffs will make me feel like I don't deserve to be there. Talking people down as well as getting extremely defensive when patients have questions every time I walked out of the door I feel like I'm getting sicker even more mentally.

I have been a patient at Tufts Medical Center Cardiology for a few years now. When you are hospitalized the parking here is horrible and a disgrace. they would leave you Stuck after being discharged with no way to get your car out of the garage. If you have no money or friends to help you then the social worker will not help you at all. Talking about the Social worker I felt with, she is rude and hateful. We explained the situation that we needed help to get out of the garage and she said sorry I can't help and walked out. Do you think its fair that they charge you or the insurance for everything from the time you walk in through those doors and them when it comes to parking you have to find your own way to pay for parking. And if you don't have the money they don't care, your screwed. I'm gonna have to change hospitals and a talk with my insurance about this situation.

Yesterday, I went to Tufts Medical Center for my second Pfizer booster shot at a walk-in clinic devoted to COVID-19 (testing and vaccination). It was an outstanding experience due to the efficiency of the arrangement and the courtesy and competence of the staff. Total time spent to register and get my shot was less than 40 minutes, including the wait time after the shot to make sure I had no reaction. Kudos to Tufts for providing such an important public service and for doing it with so much efficiency and courtesy.
