The basic banking services are excellent. Living locally in Charlestown, if I mess up my on-line log-in, have service queries etc, I can wander down to the Main St office, and they can usually sort it out on the spot - not like other financial institutions where you have to struggle with phone calls (and I don't process 'audio' well). It is def. an older style banking experience, which is perfect for my age group (+70), but this is being eroded by younger head office management who do not comprehend their so-called 'service improvements', especially in the use of phone apps, make banking more difficult for us - and 'we' are possibly the last generation with any financial reserves.

The most unprofessional banking institution in the state of Massachusetts. I feel like they don’t know their own business and how competitive it is. We were treated unprofessionally and with little regard to the fact we were working on a private sale deal. Thank God for our seller, another person would have kicked us to the curb after the first extension request by the bank.The people we worked with were not responding to e-mails from our attorney until the last minute and with no phone calls in between to steer progress on our application in the right direction. We started our mortgage application in June and with much effort and 3 extensions asked by this bank we closed in the end of August.If you are out there looking for a lender run away from this one. I don’t believe these people should be in the banking business let alone responsible for your mortgage. We all learn from our mistakes and live to tell them so others don’t do the same. Reconsider and go elsewhere if possible.

This bank does not protect your money against fraud! Allowed 30,000 to be withdrawn out of my 86 year old mothers account. Now the are blaming us!! Will not return money! Do not bank here!

Nothing but headaches . App doesn't work . Atm ate my card and customer service is practically non existent .
