The Charlesmark Boutique Hotel is a charming and well-located hotel in the Back Bay neighborhood. Its prime location makes it easy for guests to explore the area and enjoy nearby cafes and attractions. The staff, especially front desk personnel, are often praised for their friendly, helpful, and professional service, making guests feel welcome and well cared for. One staff member received particular commendation for going above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. However, the hotel has some drawbacks. The rooms are quite small, with poor sound insulation and limited closet space, which can make for an uncomfortable stay. Some design choices, such as the placement of a mini fridge and outdated features like DVD and VHS players, feel impractical or outdated. Guests also noted that the rooms lack sufficient space to hang clothes and do not include a desk. Additionally, amenities like the breakfast could be better, as there is only filter coffee and pastries tend to run out early. Water pressure in the shower was also mentioned as a minor inconvenience. Overall, The Charlesmark Boutique Hotel offers a good location, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere, but travelers should be prepared for small rooms and some outdated features. The welcoming staff and convenient location make it a memorable choice for those visiting the area.
Great location, cute place, nice and helpful staff, tasty Cafe. Would get full marks but water pressure isn't great in shower... Great place

Excellent location. Clean. Staff at door was friendly. They advertised coffee and pastries but two days in row the pastries didn’t arrive without explanation. That was disappointing.

This is a charming hotel, with welcoming staff, in a very desirable Back Bay neighborhood. Once you adjust to your very tiny room and: 1) the lack of space to hang your clothes; 2) no desk, it can be quite an enjoyable stay. I would also recommend the Cafe Landwer downstairs, which serves an excellent hummus and pita bread.
