We had an excellent experience in this Black Dog location! The customer service person was incredibly helpful and assisted me in finding super comfortable pants and made great suggestions for other items. The selection was great and we found everything we were hoping for!

My wife and I shop at a black dog every time we stumble across one. We walked into this store and were greeted by a very unfriendly employee. There was another couple in there who were unfamiliar with Black Dog and they were wondering if this was the onlyLocation… to which I chimed in telling them that there are several across the surrounding states… the same employee who was not in the conversation whatsoever pretty much told me that I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about. In pretty woman fashion I took my money elsewhere and did not spend a dime in her store. After reading reviews below it seems like a trend… figure it out and fire this lady. Your store will suffer until you do.

Nasty management. Horribly rude. Honestly, never in my life have I been treated in such a disgusting manner. Even the other shoppers in the store were appalled.

I went in here on a beautiful day and had the absolute worst retail service I’ve had in years. I tried on a shirt, decided to buy it, put the hanger exactly back where I took it from. As I went to the checkout, the woman working there asked me where the hanger was, and I told her that I’d left it in the same place I got it from. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to go get the hanger, much to my surprise. I told her that I’ll be at the cash register while she goes and gets the hanger and she continued to mumble under her breath not nice things. Then as she proceeded to complete the transaction at the register, she took my shirt and threw it hanging out of the bag, not even folding it up and basically crumbled the receipt and tossed it on top. I had to take the shirt out of the bag and fold it up like any normal retailer would do and put it back in the bag. If this was my store, I would fire this person immediately. There were two people working at the time, and this was the larger of the two women. I really hope somebody does something about this. Below is the receipt with transaction information so that someone with authority can fix their customer service problem .

A one star is generous. Terrible customer service. No attempt to help and the staff was not welcoming or even remotely friendly in any way. Surprising for a tourist area. A refresher in good customer service is definitely needed for this store. In addition the change room was "out of order". How is a change room out of order? Certainly impacted what I bought at the store. Very disappointed. I am a big fan of the Black Dog brand and had made a specific trip to this store while I was in Boston. I was looking forward to returning after a previous visit to Boston a few years back. I certainly won't return any time soon!

My fiancee and I are big fans of the Black Dog brand. We've always had great experiences at other locations. We were surprised when we walked into this one with a coffee and were yelled at by an employee: "NO DRINKS, YOU CANT COME IN HERE!" We are rule followers, and would not have tried to enter with a coffee if there was a sign. We did not expect this kind of experience at a Black Dog store.

My wife and I were strolling around Faneuil Hall looking for souvenirs on a chilly night and we were drawn to this store because of the dog logo and name. We came in and started browsing the store and ended up buying a shirt, some magnets, a dog collar, and some cute seagull plushies. The merch is pricey but its fun and cute. My wife loves her fun Christmas long sleeve I bought her while we were here. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Over all the stuff was a bit pricey but we are still glad we stopped in and bought some stuff because its a fun store!

This store is not large/plus size friendly! I searched the whole store for sizes to gift friends/family and all I found was extra small, small and medium. When I asked the lady at the register if they had stock in the back she replied "no." So I followed up asking if they accommodated larger sized clothing. Her response was "our clothing runs large." This opened my eyes to the struggle of finding larger sized clothing and how closed minded retailers are. This store does not display inclusiveness and respect people of all sizes.
