Great place, very reliable place to work on your car, if you have a car that needs work I think this is a very good choice, I've had my oil changed here as well as my brakes and calipers and it's been very reliable every time!

You might wonder, “if there are so many places to get your car inspected, why is there always a line at this one?” The answer is how friendly and fair the inspector is! Ask him about Honduras, or fishing, or his kids and you’ll find a tedious task becomes something to look forward to once a year.

I woke up one the other day to my catalytic converter ripped out of my car, I brought my car to these guys and they were patient, understanding and reasonable when describing the options I had. Due to the age of my car, emissions wasn't an issue so we agreed on straight piping the rest of my exhaust together. I had plans earlier that day, and was going to rent a car but once explaing my situation these guys priorized my issue and got it done. My car was in and out within two hours, with very reasonable pricing and helpful guys there. Highly recommend, thanks again for everything!!

my best friend and I had plans to go to a concert in Rhode Island but we noticed her catalytic converter had been stolen. we came in to see if they could do anything to help us day of and the guys there were so insanely helpful. they were sympathetic to our situation and after discussing options, they ended up welding a straight pipe to the car. we were in and out in two hours and paid an extremely reasonable price for it. they were all super sweet and understanding and I definitely recommend coming to them for all services they offer.

This station is nearby and so I walked over and asked to purchase a wiper. My drivers side wiper fell off in the rain this morning so I needed on ASAP. I found the wiper I needed online for $12 to $18. The station operator charged me $30 for the wiper blade. He said I couldn't buy it online so I showed him the price online. He shrugged and said, "Buy it online." It's raining, I needed the wiper now. I bought it and installed myself. Feels a bit like gouging.

I wasn't that impressed with this gas station. Sure, the price of gas was very competitive and reasonable when we filled up here this past August. But the attendant was non-communicative and dour-looking, not even responding to me when I tried to make small talk. (And here I was, upon pulling in to this station and seeing that this was a full-service station, how I told my kids in the car that this is how gas stations USED to be, with friendly attendants who filled the gas tank and washed the windows and even checked your tires' air pressure. At least, when I was growing up, this is how they were! Very Norman Rockwellian and reminiscent of Americana. Anyone out there remember the drinking glasses you used to get at old gas stations? And how friendly the attendants were? And helpful?). Anyhow, this attendant was the antithesis of that friendly attendant of yore. Very disappointing.

The service station is great! My husband and I have taken a couple of our cars to Sam for inspections & repairs over the past couple years. The diagnostics & repair costs are reasonable and, best of all, we never feel like Sam is trying to rip us off (I can't say the same about a couple of other service stations we've visited). Yes, the charges are often more than I would like to pay for repairs (who wants to pay for repairs anyway??) but we get quality parts & service, so I'm ok with that. We have and will continue to recommend Sam to our friends.

Reasonably-priced gas, competent attendants, Solid repair service. They're my neighborhood station and I always get my gas there.

I went for my inspection today, the next to last day of the month. It's always a mad house on the last day if you haven't been. I only pulled in to this place because they didn't have a line down the parking lot. To make a long story short, the guy said if I had them replace one of my two reverse lights then he would give me a sticker even though the windshield washer doesn't work. Ehhhh... I can replace the light bulb in minutes and minimal cost myself, but now they have my car captive and want a premium for service I don't want. If I don't have the bulb replaced by them I have to not only replace the bulb but fix the windshield washer because it's now on the report. I appreciate that this place does a through inspection, I've lived in states where they don't inspect (AL) and it's scary. I don't appreciate feeling like i'm being asked to bribe the guy for a sticker, even if it is in a roundabout way. To make it better I get to visit them again in the next 60 days unless I want to pay to have the inspection done again somewhere else. If you're driving down the street looking for an inspection, there may be a reason why one place is dead quiet while the others are busy. I have four cars to inspect, I won't make this mistake with the others.

They failed my car when I got it insepcted, saying that everything was fine except for the brakes. I mistrusted this diagnosis since I had been driving the car and the brakes seemed to work fine. The shop offered to fix the brakes while I waited, and when I said I was going to leave warned me that the car wasn't safe to drive and that I could be pulled over for a safety violation. Afterwards I went to two other stations; one was busy, but someone took a look at the brake pads and said that while they were low, this was no reason to fail an inspection. Finally at the third place I paid to be inspected again (another $29), and got a pass. My conclusion is that Sam's is engaging in some dodgy practices to try to squeeze work out of people they think they have at a disadvantage. I might have been inclined to use them to do the brake work I probably do need, but the fact that they failed my inspection as leverage to get the work says to me they lack any understanding of customer service, honesty, and fair business dealing, so I strongly recommend you avoid them.
