August 2023 - our CONFIRMED delivery was delayed by three!!! days without a phone call, an email, explanation or an apology. The staff on the phone are rude, put you on hold and hang up. The supervisor/manager (Brielle?) is never available. The business model of Storage Squad is built on taking advantage of young inexperienced students, overpromising and underdelivering. The company manages to leave customers not only without their belongings for days, but also frustrated, humiliated and angry. It is an absolute disgrace for business community - to pray on young people and shamelessly take full advantage of them! We will make it our mission to share our true experience with Storage Squad on social media as well as on campus - see you guys by the tent you will set up for new victims in spring! We'll be right there to tell students about the shitshow of a company that you are! To people working in Storage Squad - SHAME ON YOU!!! when you go back to your families and loved ones - just remember one word KARMA!

DO NOT USE this company. I have been trying since July 24th to get my sons boxes from Texas to his new school in Iowa and have been told numerous lies from day one. I have spent hundreds of dollars for this service and cannot get a straight answer. I have even paid extra for a guarantee delivery and nothing, not even a phone call or email. They hold ABSOLUTELY NO responsibility and just give you the run around. They act in a very criminal way and I am sure have cost numerous clients including me many extra dollars. To whoever reads this that is thinking about this company, DO NOT DO IT. If someone reads this who has come under this type of service, don't give up do what you can to get a full refund or contact your bank to see what can be done, that is my next course of action. I will not give them the satisfaction of getting paid for this service.

Horrible customer service. Numerous website issues when trying to select pick-up and delivery dates to which I had to call support multiple times to fix. I was often put on hold for ~40 minutes at a time, and when I tried emailing about my issues it took 3 weekdays to respond and I was told that my problem couldn't be fixed.

Do not use storage squad if it's at all possible to avoid. The service is absolutely terrible in every single facet. To start with the pick up, it was far from smooth. My driver somehow 'accidentally' pressed the button to alert me that they were there basically an hour before they actually showed up to move my stuff, leaving me on the line with customer service and going up and down from my apartment repeatedly over that next hour and wasting my time. Even though I had paid an additional fee for room service--where they come pick up your belongings from your room and move it all themselves--the driver expected me to help them move my belongings. In comparison to everything else that is ridiculous about this company, the pickup was the least of my problems. When I got my invoice I was genuinely appalled. The price is ridiculously expensive. I had to move my move in date up especially--another additional fee--and getting through to anyone was an absolute nuisance. I called tens of times and would just be waiting. When I did get through, they would tell me they rescheduled and I would get an email confirmation, but then I would not and I would have to do it all over again. On one occasion, I had been waiting on their line for over 40 minutes and someone picked up and then immediately hung up on me. Their customer service is far from helpful, but it barely even comes close to competent. Finally, when I got my move in set in stone I thought it would be smooth sailing, but I was once again wrong. First, the mover insisted on leaving my boxes on the street to hold the locked outside door of my apartment building open, when I expressed my concerns about my stuff getting stolen and told him I would come down with him every time to open the door he totally dismissed me. The boxes I did get back were completely banged up, dented, ripped, and in terrible condition. If it hadn't been for the extra protections I took inside the box, I would have been left with boxes filled with shattered glass. The box I had very clearly marked fragile, and had communicated this to the person who came to pick up my stuff, was the one that was in the worst condition in some ironic twist. Last but certainly not least, I did not receive all of my stuff when they dropped it off. I was missing the contents of multiple crates, and even getting in contact with someone to tell them that was a nightmare. I still have no clue where my stuff is, or how they managed to lose contents that were filled inside something, but this is my fair warning to anyone looking at storage squad to not use them. Basically any other option you have will probably be better, and likely cheaper as well. If this was a discount storage company, maybe I would be able to look past all of the many flaws, but with the exorbitant prices they are charging even one of these occurrences is unacceptable, let alone all of them.

Please don't do Storage Squad if you are looking for cheap options. They charge you $57 for each box no matter the size it seems like. There are other storage options that you can share with your friends for around $160 a month enough for 2 - 4 people in the south end called Prime Storage my friends recently recommended.

Worst storage company ever! I asked them to pick up the boxes that I don't need but they got stolen and now they charged my accounts for the cardboard boxes. Be aware, they charge you $5 per a box if unreturned!

Worst company I've ever dealt with. I'm not just talking about how late the moving truck was in coming to pick up my boxes (4 days late, right before my flight took off) or that they were 8 days late in moving my boxes to the destination ... OR that my boxes were all but destroyed. I am talking about basic communication skills. I kept trying to get a straight answer as to why my moving truck wasn't ready to pick up my items, but they kept putting me on hold, transferring me to someone that would never pick up, or basically lying to me. I would ask, "obviously you are running late, but can you tell me what day my moving truck will get here--?" And they would never respond with a clear answer... and that is because they are so incompetent that they themselves had NO IDEA. What a mess. Spend the extra money folks... if you want professionalism.

Unfortunately storage squad damaged or lost a majority of my many items stored from the dorm. Plastic storage bins were warped, cracked and unusable. New cloth 3 drawer storage pieces had ripped, muddy and ruined drawers- with feet missing. Drawers had been taped shut when left- when returned drawers were muddy turned around and gone through. All particle board pieces were ruined or not returned. Shoe rack, vanity, and 4 box cubby ruined. Pillows and clothes were stained in bags, and boxes with electronics and printer were missing- and never returned. At first only half of items had been delivered but was charged for all. Made complaint w Amex. More than a month later and many emails and phone calls (no one picked up) we received a few more items but not all. We sent pictures of damaged items for reimbursement and received no return contact. This company is unreliable and unethical. I sent emails to executives which bounced back. DO NOT USE THEM!!! We have used a diff company in the past with no problem.

They have some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. It took me over 2 months, many phone calls, and threats to take legal action to receive my items due to poor communication and pure laziness on their part.I chose Storage Squad for their affordability. Unfortunately, I didn't check their reviews first. I go to college in Boston and I stored one box with them over the summer. My plan was to have it delivered to me when I returned in the fall, but at the end of the summer I decided to have it shipped home to me instead. After exchanging a few emails about arranging the delivery over two weeks, they stopped responding to me. They never sent an invoice or tracking info, so I called a few times every week over the next 4 weeks. I was only able to get ahold of them three times -- they would either put me on hold for 20-45 minutes then drop the call, or answer and immediately hang up the phone because they didn't feel like doing their job. The first time they answered, they said they never put in the order to have my box shipped but they'd do it then and told me to call back the next week to see if it shipped. Two weeks later when I was able to get ahold of them again, they told me they still have my box and they might ship it in a few days. The next week I called again after receiving no invoice or tracking info, but this time I threatened to take legal action and that worked. They never sent me tracking info but I received it two weeks later.

Do NOT Use these people. They lost one of my boxes. They don't pick up the phone when you call. They charged me late fees when I was never late. They were an hour late to my delivery appointment.

The worst storage company I have dealt with. I have been contacting them for the past 2 weeks to schedule delivery of my stored items. They keep saying to wait for delivery dates for August to get posted online. It's August and still no dates. When you try to call them, they don't answer the phone or hang up on you. I'm starting school in 2 days and don't know how to get my stored boxes back from them!

I cannot than you enough for making move-out so easy!! When Berklee cancelled classes at the last minute because of Covid-19, my daughter only had 3 days to vacate her dorm before coming home. We were able to get a last-minute appointment and your customer support chat people helped make sure the drivers arrived on-time so my daughter could catch her flight. You all made this very stressful time easy. Thank you!!

Had to move out in a rush because of COVID-19. Storage Squad adjusted their schedules to accommodate Boston students, and pickup was quick and easy. I considered several different companies, but this one was the most convenient, with a shorter time window for pickup, and they met me right in my dorm lobby. Professional workers and easy website, too.

As an international student, I was really stressed about storing my stuff away for next semester because I had to go home for summer. Storage Squad made this procedure really simple and streamlined. All I had to do was collect their boxes (which were delivered to our school) and then pass our packed boxes back to them at our dorm on our desired date. The price is very reasonable for their services as they simplify the process so much. Definitely recommend Storage Squad for other students that are looking for storage over the summer!
