Neil is the best employee here at Star Market Fenway!! Always smiling and always ready to help all customers. Please give him a raise or a promotion. He told us about the app and extra savings and to clip all the coupons beforehand! Now I try to remember to do that and it definitely adds to the savings!! The store has everything you need although it is a city store and not the suburbs so can't expect the same in terms of space and items, but still it's pretty good for weekly shopping. I like the fruit platters and the veggie platters and small fruit and veggie cups. Very healthy and also placed right at the front when you walk in the store main entrance. The produce section is decent but they don't have herbs like cilantro. They also have a decent grab n go prepared foods, soups and meals section. Sometimes we get the rotisserie chicken and sometimes the 8-piece grilled chicken. A lot of these conveniences are great especially for this area that has a high density of students and professionals who are busy. For some things we'll price compare with Target and get it either here or there whichever is a better price that week - like yogurts and milk. We like the salad bags and here there are fewer options than Target but again not a dealbreaker. Don't forget to check out the markdown shelves at the very end of the store! It's great that they also have a parking lot in this prime location in the city which also has a couple electric vehicle charging stations. Currently the store is all decorated for Valentine's Day - love is in the air - literally- with those floating hearts balloons :) And of course strategically placed teddy bears with hearts for those last minute impulse buys on February 13th or maybe even the 14th lol ;).

I cannot emphasize enough how much I hate this place. This is the worst Star Market in the greater Boston area; probably the worst in the world. The inventory is awful. The customer service is awful. The aisles are always extremely crowded. Everything is disorganized and hard to find. Half of the self checkout machines are always broken. The back entrance is always closed. If I could use one word to describe this place it would be: headache. I hope it permanetly shuts down.

I was there this past Saturday about 1:30 pm. I went to the seafood counter to get some Salmon. I got it and asked the worker to cut the skin off. He told me they don't do that here. I knew it was a lie. Just didn't want to do it!

I have an idea for the prepared food section...CHECK HOW LONG THE FOOD HAS BEEN SITTING.Theres nothing like getting a chicken sandwich with the bottom bun rock hard and the top bun cool as ice.And to whomever dices the fruit for the fruit cups those items could also use some rotation or simply discarding.When employees take their jobs serious and have less time to play on their cellphones it really would make the customer experience better.

Went to the Starbucks at this establishment. The barista first gave the wrong drink as she thought it was a hot drink but I ordered the iced version. She argued saying the drink comes only in the hot format and then was dumbfounded when she saw on the board that there is an iced version. She immediately got angry and said she was not going to make the correct drink. There was nobody else behind us for her to make drinks for. She made a scene and most of the other staff came to her defense. My friend then asked to talk to the manager. The manager came and helped us with the drink. Even she agreed that the barista should not have behaved this way. I know that the customer is not always right but the barista had no reason to behave that way with us. The staff immediately taking her side for such a silly reason is beyond me. Do not hire such workers if they cannot handle the tiniest bit of valid criticism even on a non-busy day.

ok for a small grocery store. the location is very convenient. Some issues with fresh product availability, mostly meat. Aside from that, everything is great.

I have had an handful of issues with deliveries, and I get groceries delivered at least twice a month (it’s easier than carrying them over a mile). Usually i get someone else’s items entirely or an extra bag, or slight mix ups. Today was no exception. I was notified that my delivery ordered needed to be rescheduled. Although this isn’t a huge deal, it is certainly inconvenient. Especially when this notification comes 30 minutes before my delivery window ends. When calling the store, they stated someone called out and they were understaffed. I can appreciate this, however, notifications should have come before if they couldn’t complete orders to be delivered by the end of day. It is just unprofessional and severely inconvenient.

Coming from the UK and not expecting much from US supermarkets, this was a very pleasant surprise. Good choice of berries, vegetables and fruits, bakery, some nice cheese options. And whole milk!There are self-checkouts, which is handly.I didn't find meat or fish there, but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

Extremely rude employees in the self-checkout corners. I brought my service dog with me and one of the employees who was suppose to help me with the discount code was telling me to move the dog out of her way and we were already more than 7ft away from her. I told her it’s a service dog, and she shouted at me with such a loud voice where other ppl in the check out could hear- “It’s different”. I asked what’s different and all she did was repeating that it’s different. No reasoning behind her attitude- just super annoyed by us for no reason. Maybe it’s because I requested for a help when she was in the middle of chatting with her colleagues. I don’t understand what she wanted to say at this point but her attitude was very rude as she’d constant shake her head at me, and telling me to move the dog when my dog was already held by my roommate 10ft away from her. Can’t believe her unmannerly facial expression, looking at us with such a despise when we passed by her after checking out. Extremely unpleasant and unprofessional.

Had a lovely experience in the store yesterday. Good selection of items nicely presented. And in particular, the person at the checkout counter Neil was an absolute delight. He is the reason I'm taking the time to write this review, and the reason I will make sure to shop here again.

It was difficult to navigate the store because the shopping carts are essentially the whole width of the aisle. The store felt crowded even with few people there and I passed on the produce which just did not look very good. Truthfully I would rather shop elsewhere despite this being the closest grocery store to me.
