The staff, aside from the tellers, are absolutely incompetent. The customer service is lacking, the experience is tedious, and the end result is sub par. Take your banking needs elsewhere.

This bank allowed their customer to steal my daughters check and deposit it in her account and the check has me and my daughters name on it. This is the worse bank in the history of banks. There's is an inside job going on because where in the history of banks is someone allowed to accept a check with two other peoples name on it and then the bank says oh the person who's account it is has to do a claim to say that wasn't their check when the branch manager located at another establishment literally pulled up their customers account and seen the day the check was deposited and also seen my daughters name on the check. The branch manager from another Santander stated how could the bank accept the check when the names of the check doesn't even match the account holders information. They also stated the customers account wasn't even open properly in Charlestown at this location, as she's receiving checks in her account and the checks don't even have the names of the people she's receiving it for on her account. That is FRAUD... I am baffled and thousands of dollars stolen from my child. Santander is the worst bank in America no other bank would have allowed this to happen. I'm pretty sure that the person who stole my daughters check knows someone who works at this bank in Charlestown and is helping her with this fraudulent activity, because the Santander at another location said that he doesn't understand how she's able to be getting these checks her name isn't even on them.

Tellers and customer service reps are very friendly and knowledgeable. Employees ar this branch want to actually help, and did exactly that when i recently went in to have some charges i didnt recognize disputed. The rep had me feeling at ease, solved my issue quickly, and they credited my account the next day. Thank you to the helpful people in that Santander branch for making things easy.

Please don't put yourPlease don't put your money in this bank!! My aunt ,who lived in Boston, used Santander Bank. She passed away in October. On the day we buried her , someone started to steal money from her account. It was very obviously fraudulent. They test the account by withdrawing cents under a dollar- then took out $5000. One time - $10,000 another until they got up to over $70,000. This whole time I'm calling Santander literally crying and yelling for them to stop it and help me!! It took a week for them to put a stop to this and freeze the account. ! It was all coming from the same account at Bank of America. Santander did refund the money after much more screaming and crying!! My back here in Kentucky has software that alerts them to fraud as soon as it occurs so they can stop it before it gets this far. I don't know it Santander has dim employees or they just don't care . I'm now in a long fight to get the freeze lifted and the money transferred to our Estate account, which is a mess in itself.IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO USE THIS BANK WATCH THEM VERY CLOSELY.

Wish I could leave star rating at ZERO. Called and no one answers the phone, it’s a cell number! Customer service is inept and there procedures provide NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.Closing 3 accounts immediately.

Went to the the branch yesterday(February 5th 2022) and one of the bank tellers was truly amazing! The branch manger William C. Helped me beyond words with everything I needed to get done! Gave me so much knowledge and information about things I knew and did not know about my account! Thank you so much William for your services with such an amazing attitude! Can’t wait to come back whenever I need help.

Worst bank/branch/staff ever. They need to have a better training program, teach their staff how to handle certain transactions, and they need to listen to their customers. Every time there’s a new request, they have to pick up the phone and call someone else for advice. They’re consistently making mistakes, not one or two but at least three times that are worth mentioning. First time was to change my name, they messed it up and I had to go to another branch to finish the process. Second time, I closed out an escrow account and specifically requested it to make the check to someone else and memo it to myself. They did the opposite and so the designated person couldn’t cash the check. Once again, I had to go back to fix it. Third time, I made a deposit to my business checking account (and I do this every month), they instead put the money in my personal account. I didn’t realize it until I checked my receipt from my email. Luckily I caught it in time before it went negative. But now I have this big transaction in my personal account that I might need to write an explanation for a mortgage refinancing. I’m so done with this branch/bank. It takes time to transfer to another bank now but it’ll save me more hassle in the future.
