I have been with Santander Bank for a very long time. If ever there is a problem or concern it is handled in a timely manner. It is nice to have a relationship with a community resource. Keep up the good work.

I don’t know where they get off calling themselves a bank. My husband and I closed all our accounts with them because they refused a cashier’s check. We weren’t even trying to cash it, we were trying to deposit it. The funds needed to be moved, so we called the issuer in Florida. They in turn called the bank and were refused. The Florida bank was totally baffled, as were we, since a cashier’s check is better than money. After a whole lot of go around, we asked if they would take a wire transfer into our account. That they would do, for an outrageous fee. While my husband and I were shopping around for a new bank, he acquired a mature savings bond. He wanted to cash it and put part of it into his checking account. The teller didn’t even know what it was. The supervisor said they didn’t handle them, they had no procedure. Once again, a U.S. Savings bond is better than cash. So the next day my husband took that bond and just started walking down the street, asking at each different bank if they could cash it. When he found one that could do that, he used that bond to open a new account. The next day we closed all our Santander accounts and moved them to the new bank.

I went to this bank simply to exchange cash for quarters as I’ve done several times before, including since this pandemic started. I have to get quarters to use the laundry machine in my apartment’s basement. This was my third attempt to go in recent days. The first they were already closed because I was driving home after a full day working as a teacher and I hadn’t realized how short their hours were; I work from several hours before they’re open to several hours after. The next time was President’s Day, when their own website said they were open for normal hours but they were in fact closed. On the third attempt, today (I’m off for February break and so could go on a Wednesday), I was denied this simple exchange despite having cash in hand because I was not a member. I understand that banks want to focus on serving their own, but exchanging cash for quarters is just such a basic thing to do for the community you are a part of, especially given that many people in this community cannot afford an in-unit washer/dryer. So many services have become less accessible and more difficult during the pandemic and it’s hard not to see this policy as targeted at those less able to afford access to banking. I’ll admit I don’t know if they are making other efforts to be a good member of the community, but I was disappointed by my experience.

Avoid doing business at this location, & as whole this banking institution. Their bottom line is Not to respect Your Money, but to line their own pockets. Last January i fell prey to a predatory scam caller company..immediately got on 800 Santander Number. They refused to place stoppage on the pending transaction, & let it go through. Been back & forth with Santander & on the 2nd claim they " graced my account" with a "provisional credit" ( which actually my $ that they backcharged). After switching to Bank of America Santander somehow kept my checking account open with a -amount they sent to the rogue company. The Branch Employees lacked any human empathy & were robotic, immersed in their textbook, corporate jargin. I was left in the cubicle with the Agent who opened my account 3 years ago. She decided to do business in the lobby with another customer. Vampires.

Just cancelled my account here. Staff did not even ask me why I cancelled. If they did I might not closed it with them. Travel example of customer service. They just do not care.... And it shows.

Expect to wait at least 20 minutes in line whenever you go and then another 10 at least at the counter. ATM works 50% of time and their turnover for employees is outrageous. Their ATM ate my card for zero reason, went in to get it and they had shredded it, even though I'm an account member so I need to wait 2 weeks for another one. Literally the WORST.

If you're looking for hell on earth, then this is the place for you. Expect 20 minute in line wait times, then another 10 at the teller. ATM machines work 50% of the time. Brand new employee every other week and the branch manager is never available. Just today, their crappy ATM machine ate my card, and even though I am an account holder, they shredded my card and said that was their policy. So now I have to wait 2 weeks for a new card. This place is an absolute joke.

So unless we do online statements we will be charged a $3.00 fee, they say "in the interests of being green" Well Santander that is nonsense, seeing that when I choose to print my own statements you force me to use two sides of paper and lots of needless ink to get 4 transactions recorded. You could barely do anything more to waste paper and ink. I say barely as knowing you , probably you could throw a bigger blacker logo bar in here or there. I just called to see if I could make them aware of this, I don't believe that my call will make much difference. My statement could be printed on a single side very easily with your logo and phone numbers. Your logo could also be printer friendly.

If I could give this place -10 stars I would. I am not going to drag this out I'm going to try to keep it short and to the point. My account is fairly new only about a month old and the idiot banking manager who opened the account gave me the wrong routing number! I had just started my new job and gave them all my banking information and when it was time to get paid guess who didn't get paid. And on top of that the same day I was supposed to get paid my car note was also due. Santander charge me and my account was overdrawn. I had to wait an additional week just to get paid again and they took half of my paycheck. I called customer support and explain the situation and the best the supervisor told me is they can only pay me back $30 and give the banking manager training...... Like what the hell is that going to do for my bills! Why should I have to suffer because of the negligence of this idiot! I am so pissed I am shutting down my account ASAP. These people do not care about what is right.. only about the money in your account. PSA: IF YOU ARE COMING HERE TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE IDIOT BANKING MANAGER JUSTIN POWELL WHO IS CLEARLY INCOMPETENT OF GIVING YOU YOUR CORRECT ROUTING NUMBER
