I’ve literally contacted the Federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau about my experience with this bank. It’s been that awful. I think they’ve targeted me for harassment because of the type of account that I opened. All I’m trying to do is pay bills and instead I’m constantly having incredibly emotionally draining conversations with rockland trust employees not willing to explain to me why my access to finances have been restricted. They tell me it’s based on things I’ve said or done but can’t disclose what that is. I never thought I could feel so degraded by a banking experience. They’ve robbed me of so much time and they can’t even make the effort to be polite while they’re actually being paid to sit there and behave like this. I need to cut my losses and set up all of my financial accounts elsewhere and I honestly believe this was the agenda all along.

My mom’s experience. . . I share a joint account with my under age child. I went to the Rockland Trust to get a new card and the new card was linked to my daughters account. Needed to go back and get a new card.Second experience. . . I needed a new card and the card I received didn’t have a CVC number on the back. I needed to go back and get another card. Please use another branch! ! ! Do Not Use This One.

I've called and been left on hold forever. They moved to Eastern Bank building on Center Street in Jamaica Plain. They don't pick up the phone. Their coin machine is broken. They don't know when it'll be fixed. This bank has really gone downhill !!!

There's nothing more satisfying than going into your local branch and working with bank representatives that listen intently and who aim to help. My local bank, 10 years and running! The staff there are very professional, kind and helpful.They go over and above to assist you with whatever your needs are. I have been a customer for years and I’m very please with the service i receive from the time that I walk through the door until I exit.

Bank has gone seriously downhill in terms of customer service and communication. They, like all banks, will rearrange transactions to maximize on overdraft fees. Fine. But you also can't get accurate information. I've been told three conflicting things by each representative I've talk to at this point, and this misinformation is going to cost me probably a hundred dollars in over draft fees. I would not recommend this bank.

The teller who had a hijab on her head was rude to me. She was the 1st teller at the door. If I physically have to come in will not use her. She's part of Rockland bank and not last bank that was there. Going to check elsewhere.

It’s ridiculous, I went to bank for cash $1000.00 “ thousand dollars “ check and I have temporary driver license, i meet man should be customer service but he doesn’t have any customer service at all, he is name ISRAEL and he said I can’t cash your check with paper driver license and it’s not paper it’s from RMV, and I asked for his manager and he said she isn’t here now she will be back after 35 minutes it’s ridiculous. He has bad attitude with me.

Rockland Trust bought out East Boston Savings Bank. This is yet another buyout of same Bank, as EBSB had bought out Mount Washington. This transition will s less than full month old & for myself & over 100 people at recent neighborhood meeting, RT has proven itself short staffed in telephone customer service, staff that does exist has actually laughed at customers when they've called to inquire of erroneous transactions & questionable security alerts, etc. I'd advised folks to be patient as transitions can be difficult but this is worst transition & least customer supported transition I've ever witnessed. For myself, I too have received numerous odd Security Alerts regarding Account Access & Transactions & received horrid service. When I've called to inquire of more than 20 Security Alerts this past month, I've actually had agents tell me "that couldn't have happened" or "just learn to ignore Security Alerts. ?!? The only reasons I remain are convenient location ~ but that matters less in 2021 & moving forward, but more so I've known & worked with my neighborhoods branch staff for decades & felt loyalty to them. General consensus at neighborhood meeting is that it It is loyalty that keeps most customers with RT. But the continuing ineffective, ill-mannered, even pedantic telephone customer service along with the banks erroneous account activity will soon crush any possible reasons/excuses to stay with Rockland Trust. For EBSB staff that remained with them & we customers to continue with RT having any trust or hope of financial security & peace of mind, RT must correct website issues, security alerts, training of telephone customer service & yes, add to & monitor & guide & correct their telephone staff.

I went here to cash a Treasurer’s Check because my credit union is an hour away. I have been calling now for days to get an appointment speaking with various staff. Upon arrival, they tell me they can’t cash my check without an account but the man at the counter didn’t look at me, the woman there did not help. Did they not want me to open an account?So I left. Lol. They didn’t really guide me anywhere but instead threw their hands up and said “I can’t” so I’ll go somewhere else.
