Don't go here for inspections. Took over an hour and there was only one other person in front of me. Guy said they were on break, shouldn't be happening at 11am.

Great experience for a mass vehicle inspection. Helpful staff, pretty clear process.
For anyone looking into this place for inspections: you give your license ID at the security window to get in, they’ll hold it for collateral until you give back the visitor pass on your way out. Building 8, go by garage door 1, park and enter through the customer door and ring the bell for service. Inspections are on a walk-in basis, but take note they take lunch from 12:15-12:45 so don’t come in around then. $35 and you’ll be on your way. For me, the process took about 45/50 minutes.

Went here for a Mass Car Inspection. You need to stop at security to get a visitor’s badge and they’ll give you directions. In and out in about 20 minutes. Cool spot under the Tobin adjacent to where the large boats come in.

5 stars awesome staff and skilled. While I only stopped in Portside Truck Repair for a Mass Inspection Renewal for my Mazda, I was met with kindness and professionalism all the way through. I interacted with 3 staff members and every single one was polite with extreme professional. The staff was very diverse and kept a clean shop! I recommend this establishment for inspection renewals and I am sure they do great service work as well. Keep up the excellence folks.

What makes a good auto repair shop? Mechanics that are masters at their profession. The entire staff at Portside auto shop are Professional, awesome communicators, compassion to your needs. Living in Charlestown with my inspection sticker about to expire, I was scrambling to find a place in time that could inspect my car before 9/1. The team at Portside took my car in on the same day (no appointment needed) and called me about an hour later when it was ready to be picked up. The staff is friendly, accommodating and quick when it comes to standard vehicle inspections. They take credit cards which was convenient, and added my new inspection sticker to the windshield for me. You need to show your ID at the gate and receive a visitors badge to enter the lot. Drive around the back of the building with a large B on it, and you will find the Portside office. A great hidden gem in Charlestown for those looking to get their annual car inspection.
